Transports are only -8.49 and small caps are getting ready to go positive. I bet we do close on the positive and next week should be positive also providing the consumer is spending. Major parking lots are full. My area is percolating.
 
yeah, i see it too, confidence improving for months now, pent up demand with the self-imposed austerity for the last two years.

but i just get so tired of a -2% down day because kim jong is feeling ill, or because it's ireland's turn to blow the bankers, or some such nonsense.
 
Fall in the Housing Sector -- :D:D -- could be 'good for Markets'.

My guess is -- the general trend will be that we are crawling on the bottom and that is the best time to get in. December will be a month of Massive (I say Massive) GAINS.

Will likely pick up another 1,000 points -- then take a breather in 1/11

Mmmmm maybe 1,500 points ;)
 
My oceanic did manage to make $7K this week - here is what the days looked like: +$9K, -$48K. +$60K and for half day trade -$14K. Next week could be a nice money maker - stay tuned. Snort.

Several folks in the top 50 decided to move to the lily pad COB today - that means an opening to sling shot forward. If I can make #38 before the year ends I'm a happy guy. I need to make only $63K in my oceanic account and my world will then start spinning as I spend myself into happiness. Oh, there are just so many great values out there for purchase and no one wants to participate - I've seen it before. Everything I buy going forward will only cost more in the future - we may have years to ride this miraculous bull. Please excuse me while I get stinky wealthy.
 
Let see :nuts:! I don't think so, at this time I haven't see that many slot open for you to get to the position #38 you want. :rolleyes:

Barton Biggs say's that all things being equal, he thinks the next move for stocks may well be a big one to the upside. I know he's right and I'm waiting like a damsel in distress to be rescued.

#13 MRJ, #31 ChuckH, #29 SBic, #34 Richter Spatz, #42 SKIPPER, #78 ATCJeff. And I'm sure there will eventually be more as time closes. In order to move up I don't need luck - I need to see more fear in the eyes of the players up ahead.

That is, 78% of trades in 'our market' running away!!!
Locking in losses just before Santa.

This with the Seven Sentinals and the Sentiment Survey moving into (or soon to move into) equities.


They will, however, have two IFTs on Wednesday.
My guess is you have a couple of days.

Anyway, why not let me catch you:nuts:. I need you to get into your Bug and totter around the corners in a wide arc and take hours parallel parking. Give those of us in the 160s a chance - man:p

Actually, I needed to avoid my own market timing brilliance earlier this year.:D
 
You must be aware and understand the fact that we are going to see frightening retracenents the higher up we go. Bull markets do not like company and the higher we go the stiffer the pullbacks will be to make sure that not everyone is participating as we continue to move higher and higher. If the dollar does move back to the 80 level, historically has shown this to be very bullish for the US markets. The price patterns continue to get stronger and stronger - not needing as much down time to regroup. We are now in the 1st quadrant of the 4 year cycle. Still holding long and strong.
 
Birch the last time you copy/pasted that you spelled retracesments wrong too. :laugh: :blink: :laugh:
