Banks want their swipe fees, wahh.

Banks are pure scum. Have you ever wondered why there are so many of them and that they seem to endlessly gobble each other up? Somebody is stealing plenty or they wouldn't be there as such. Personally if they start charging me one red cent I will just stuff the card in the back of my wallet and carry cash and write the occasional check: problem solved. It would do us all good to count out cash and see what we are really spending.

Banks are businesses and consumers need to treat them as such. There are good banks and bad banks.

The FDIC covers certain accounts to hedge against these things.

Just like a restaraunt, grocery store, garage, or any other provider of a good or service:

CAVEAT EMPTOR

I know most of you will say you need a bank acct for pay, but you doun't have to leave your money in that account on payday.

Anyway, I agree, unscrupulous institutions exist and take advantage, but once again, be a voice for the positive and get it fixed. If a bank does no business, then they are OUT OF BUSINESS.

Two cents, you deserve some change

On the flip-side of this topic..Go be a member of a Federal Credit Union..The one I have belonged to for 18 years has did me well..Now they have a checking account that pays me 4.5% on my balance up to $30,000, then 1.5% on whatever is over that...then they pay me back for any ATM surcharges up to $10.00/month..I get about $100.00 a month into my account for the interest earned...They require however that I USE my debit card at least 12 times a month in order to qualify for these interest rates...

So check into the CU around your place and see if there are any offering these kind of accounts...Better than them damn Banks.;)

Bank of America cancels debit card fees

LINK
Citing customer concerns and a "changing competitive marketplace," Bank of America said it won't charge customers a fee for using their debit cards.
Looks like they need to get the money from elsewhere!

I'm glad B of A is dropping their proposed debit card fee. That was simply dumb in the first place. And my bank, USAA, used it as a sales tool too- "No debit card fee here...". Good for them.

Remember: November 5 is "MOVE YOUR MONEY DAY", where it is being advocated to take your money out of the large "Too Big to Fail" banks, (Chase, JP Morgan, Bank of America, etc, etc), and instead put it into a local Credit Union or Community Bank.
