Leaders urge action to address food crisis

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Senior officials from the World Bank and the United Nations appealed Tuesday for urgent actions to address rising food prices expected to leave millions more people in hunger.
On the first day of the World Food Security Summit in Rome, World Bank President Robert Zoellick said the summit should commit to helping the 20 countries most vulnerable to surging food prices and to agree on an international call to scrap food export bans and restrictions.
