Anyone know what financial announcements are being made next week?Thats the dilema....If I had to bet i would say Friday. Last day of the week plus people might not want to stay invested over the weekend. If thats the case (big if) Monday might be a good day to be in stocks.
To add....after this weeks pop the herd $ might stay invested througout.
Anyone know what financial announcements are being made next week?![]()
I am bummed this AM as I was in the S yesterday and moved to the I for today. That massive FV last evening is killing the overnight huge run up in the Nikei. For anyone who was in the I yesterday and got out, my hats off to you. You pulled a rabbit out of your hat! Especially if you had the foresight to move to the S for today. Now, I have to make a decision on staying in the I , moving back to the S or getting out altogether. Profit taking has to come out at some point. Hopefully, not till Friday. The DW4500 has gained almost 35 points from the September 10 close. That is approaching the range where the charts traditionally show a pullback. Because of that, I will not move back into the S. It is between the I and the G for me. With today's positive markets, I think we can expect another good day on the Nikei so will most likely stick with the I one more day (roll the dice!). I will most likely go G COB Thursday.
I have 2 accounts as well. Civilian which I track here and Military which is just kinda fun to mess around with.I was active duty military for a few years, now I am civil service, so I have 2 accounts, .

Active ReservesFrixxxx, I guess if you are totally out of the military you could have them combined, if you wanted. I tried, but they wouldn't let me, even though I am a drilling IMA! I think you would even have to be out of the IRR??? (Assuming you didn't retiure I guess)
But it is kinda fun playing with the one and making contrarian moves.
Military are allowed to put in but there is no matching. Good savings program for the troops! Is the military TSP the same as the civil service?

If you retire from the Active Duty it's like having a Million dollar annuity! Wish I had stayed active instead of following the instant gratification of a higher paycheck! No matching for the mil. Otherwise it is the same.
Made my move....I'm all in I fund for Thursday.
