Check your account balance. I did not receive a notification either but my monies are in the correct spot.

That is why you should NEVER wait until the last second to make a transfer. Give yourself time for error. Sometimes the phone/website is down.

A lot of people taking about Countrywide's posible effect on Friday's markets. What are you guys leaning towards for cob today?

Here is the deal...MSFT report after-hours, NASDAQ is way oversold,Nikkei oversold also(several downs days),Mich. Sentiment comes out,.............My concern is the US Dollar is due for a bounce. So, I am leaning with the S Fund.

To immediately determine the date of your IFT, attempt to make another IFT at TSP.gov. The first screen will show you have a pending IFT and the COB date for the transfer. If you were on time in your IFT entry, the date will be that trade day. If you were late (at or after 12:00 pm ET), the date will be the next trade day. This is simple way to see if you were on time, and allow you to cancel a pending IFT if the current time is before 12:00 pm ET.

By the way- I did an interfund trasnfer yesterday at 11:59 am, and it appears that the trade DID NOT make it through.

today my balance still shows allocations as if I had not made the trade, and I did not get an e-mail last night for trade confirmation.

For some reason, I never get confirmation when I use my home email address, but when I use the .gov addy I always get the confirmation.

Is there a reason for that?

I always get it at home no problem.

Could it be that there is a spam filter that is filtering it out before you get the e-mail?

Pehaps the email service used for your home is classifying it as SPAM. Try adding confirm@tsp.gov to your address book. This may help. What email service provider do you use? Are you familar with how to control it's SPAM filtering? You need to inform them tsp.gov is OK for email.

I know Friday is looking bad because of CFC. But what if the market has already factored in the bad CFC news and is just waiting to see if it met its awful prediction? Im sure that is happening, just curious if everyone is staying out because they think CFC will report worse than whatever market estimates are out there for them.

I cross LD in 19 hours for my PE exam. Not much time left...

ChemEng,

For me, it was more than just CFC. The Nasdaq and the Yen were also my concerns. Here's what I wrote yesterday about theYen:

Heads up!

The Yen carry trade did a "blip", small unwind. It could get uglier in the afternoon, but I'm not sure if I want to catch a falling knife.

If it had not been for that rumor about a Fed discount window cut(which is illegal), the USM would have ended down 300 points yesterday.

The Nasdaq was starting to rollover this morning. All the 4 horsemans were down. The Nasdaq held the market up, but now after their earnings, it might be saying "Game Over". At least until the Fed cuts the FFR.:D

Chem, I'm staying out because I'm worried the big boys will be playing games tomorrow. They got caught shorting the market last time, but this time I don't think there is much chance of a Fed cut before their meeting next week and I believe they're going to try to take a little dumb money from the little boys. The dumb money should start pouring in Friday and Monday so they won't miss the big ride next week. Meanwhile, the big boys are jockeying around at the rear for positions in the sprint to the checkered flag. Call me stupid (my wife does) and I hate to appear ignorant and pessimistic in front of my TSP buddies, but I feel we may be in for more downslide in the next few days. The market has been trying to downtrend for a week or two now, and I think all that saved us yesterday, (besides 12%), was rumors that the Fed was going to cut early. Several days now the Nasdaq has showed increasing weakness to get bailed out at the bell. To me, the risk is a little greater than the reward at this point. But don't pay any attention to me, I'm probably a little more defensive than I normally would be. I just don't wish to give away my earnings on a better than average chance that Microsoft will hit one out of the park. If this Fed cut wasn't looming or if I had poor earnings this year, I guarantee I would be invested 100%. I'd just like to see a little better odds. I'm not convinced that Countrywide's share prices will go down tomorrow. Guess I better shut up because that doesn't really look very smart when it's in print. I guess what I'm trying to say is that for once I may try to ride the coattails instead of trying to lead the race. The first Buffalo off the cliff probably wouldn't feel any dumber than the ones that follow him over!:)

I found out that TSP clock is about 3 mins faster than I had expected it to be. Go figure that :(

Home email server may treat it as spam. Check your filters and/or call your provider.
