Exactly!!! I may be wrong, but I suspect some sort of trap. But what do I know?

12% likes the I for a daytrip and I wouldn't second guess that sharp pencil. I just couldn't make the trip with him.
I made a post this morning in Carnac's Corner concerning the FV play for today....go take a look.

If the dollar drops this afternoon, wouldnt that increase the potential for a +FV? Not really sure how that played into your FV scenario... *shrugs*

chem, its basically based on what was standing at that moment ....I was calculating a +FV if the markets held their current levels...since then, the markets and EFA have fluctuated, dollar rise and fall doesn't play into the speculation after after cutoff...but the important part is the consideration if an FV will come into play.....and getting a positive one means a negative one to balance it will come later....who knows we could be getting a great buy in tomorrow on the I......I'm guessing the markets not doing as well tomorrow.....

Big +FV coming. Already at 30+ and climbing....
Nikkei will helpout for tomorrow with that huge+fv ...also posted this morning..I guess it was today...lol

We are now 700 points away from 14000s. Never give up. They wanted you to sell into this negative market evironment.

Like I have been saying, we will see 14000s before the end of the year.

Leave it to the professionals or better yet leave it in your "Corner."

Nice call Mr. 12%.. and I echo the gratitude for your expertise on the message boards. Go Market!!! (me... ever the cheerleader)

Guesstimates for today (ain't they pretty?):

G = push
F = -..03
C = +.46
S = +.56
I = +.58 (thinkin' Barclays will go with 350's liberal calculations)

btw... thank you as well 350 and sorry to try and answer your question with "I suspect a trap" without any sort of factual backup and simply rely on my gut... good thing no one listens to anything I have to say. My narrow-minded reasoning was that someone was simply testing the market's reaction to yet another rate cut or possibly the downside reaction of no rate cut.

Thank you Minnow,

No reason to apologize. I use my gut feelings all the time, unfortunately...:nuts:

I'm sorry was I discussing this with u??? If you need to express your thoughts, it could contribute to the subject matter in some meaningful way....rather than dribble, or you could do the rest of us a favor and just leave u out of it.

Thanks.

You are GOOD 12% !! A deep understanding of trader and market psychology. Thank you for your expertise!

IMO....

"GOOD" was being out of the market for the majority of the 1400 pt loss on the Dow (S&P) from its highs and recognizing we were due to correct 10% in it on real, legitimate underlying financial concerns that can quite possibly tilt this economy into recession, and banking profits for the past few trading sessions. Thats my definition of good. If you look to a few members account strategy threads, it looks like some people actually made some money in November or atleast were even and didnt pump their chests doing so. I didnt quite break even myself from the all-time highs I once had in my TSP back around the 3rd week of October but I'm almost there. Some of the TSP'ers here held up well despite the horrible month we just had and offer great advise both positve and negative.

Hats off to them for their diciplined approach.
