350Z's I fund thread DEC 07

Heads up!
Today's FV situation is similar to the one on Dec 24th, Christmas eve. The OSM had a half day and finished well before the USM opened. This means the FV clock might have started, at the opening of the USM.
If Barclay follows the same rule they used on the 24th, then the I fund is already in -FV territory. With most markets closed tomorrow, IMO, the I fund is a no-brainer gamble.
Btw, I also have a feeling that $compq will fill that gap today.

At least Japan is closed the next few days... so there won't be any worries of a negative reaction there... YET.

Do you know what happens to the dollar? My Yahoo quote shows it just shot up 0.88%, is that going to be a huge -FV adding to your estimate of down 1 cent? Or does the new estimate already took that into account? TIA mucho

350z I was watching cnbc n they (who knows what their names r) said the euro will hit 150 n then hit about 132. They r expecting the dollar to get strong. What do u think.

The latest rise and fall above and then below the 50 day moving average in the Dollar is very similar to the pattern from about August 6 through late August.
I think a further decline past the 50ma is very possible.

That Yahoo chart lags by 15-20 minutes. My estimate already took the rise into account.

Looks like the NDX is holding up the market at the moment. A sustained break through of 2090 and we might see the gap get filled. I hope they do it today and get it over with.:worried:

I slept late and missed it. That guy on CNBC predicting a 1.50 euro was Chuck Butler whose newsletter (blog) I've been reading for the past 2-3 years. http://www.dailypfennig.com/currentIssue.aspx?date=12/31/2007 for todays issue

By chart that I view, I also noted in my [new] AcctTalk thread yesterday - to note the NASDAQ price chart it also has a rather large gap (Russell 2K too), but that these sure look like they MAY NEED to be filled, rather soon too!

In a later post this morning, I speculated that I thought the gap may be considered to have been filled (looks like it got within 3 or 4 points, with intraday-low, which should be good enough). Am I looking at a wrong chart - or drawng wrong conclusion?

4. James suddenly realizing he had the power to reverse the markets just by posting contrarian remarks or simply "BOO!" on the message boards. (worked for awhile, too)
3. Birchtree vs. 350z -- many "f" bombs and an intimation about Larry Kudlow I cannot mention but it was good while it lasted (i.e. before the comments were edited by the moderator) and it actually caused my least favorite moment: 350z's sabbatical and return as "Armageddon Ben" and Countrywide "Tan Man" -- thank god that's over... Hot girl w/hot car -- a winning combination. May you BOTH continue to educate and inform us novices so passionately (didn't count on the Morton Downey Jr. humor but that was a nice bonus
).
