Yes, the good news so far is that we might have made a V-bottom around SPX 1495. The bad news is that the USD/YEN continues to fall while rising against other currencies. The real test will be tonight when the Shanghai opens. With the Shanghai extremely overbought and the USD/YEN at the 120 level, support is a long way down. We need to see the USD/YEN find a bottom soon or it's going to get ugly.

BTW, you might be right about the market coming back this afternoon. Like around 2 pm. The Treasury Budget is due out then and it is suppose to show a pretty good increase because of tax season. However, it doesn't really merit a high grade as an economic indicator so I doubt we get much of a pop up.

Unfortunately imho I think the nikkei is going to get crushed tonight 350-500 down. It will be even worse for Hong Kong and the Aussies. China should be interesting to see how they react. I'm just glad I sold my ews and ewm. This perhaps can be a good buying opportunity to get back in them. We will see.

It's close but the markets didn't move enough to support it. The dollar overall was a non-factor. But Barclays will do what ever they want.
