Nothing wrong with this post. Actually, it's very appropriate. But the your previous post, the one about oil, needs to go in Nnutt's Oil thread.

Rod, could you please move the post(#1302) about oil?
Ahh, I didn't know there was an oil thread, but doesn't oil directly affect the I Fund?

The currency market fluctuations last night coincided with the Nikkei falling and the power of that influence is getting me out of this I fund. I'll look for a better spot to get back in. I think next week will be bad.

Thanks for the clarification Rod.

350z,I jumped into the C. My concern is the Euro. The dollar is oversold with the Yen and Euro. BOE meets this week also. http://yahoo.reuters.com/news/artic...3-07_09-12-36_L07298499&type=comktNews&rpc=44 ...
Investors are also keeping an eye on a two-day Bank of England interest rate-setting meeting, due for a decision at 1200 GMT on Thursday. Consensus forecasts say that the central bank would leave rates unchanged at 5.25 percent.
ECB is meeting as well:
Possible interest rate rises from the European Central Bank and the Bank of England on Thursday and a key U.S. employment report on Friday loom large this week for many traders.

Yes, I completely agree. The dollar will probably be up tomorrow. I'm also agreeing about the C fund. One of my indicator is giving me a buy signal for the C fund. My problem is that I wanted to see a bigger drop in the C before I jump back in. That might happen in the afternoon though. Our deadline sucks.

12%ayear says:

The DJIA is the only thing holding up the C Fund today. Any sell-off with the DJIA will really enchance the selling pressure on the C. Let's see if it does the opposite of yesterday off that 12:00 buying spree. Notice that 12100 level was right at 12:00 yesterday. http://www.tsptalk.com/returns/returns.html notice how the C is really lagging behind. There has to be a move . imo

According to a statement I heard in Bloomberg TV this morning, the ECB is expected to keep rates on hold tomorrow. I know this is in contrast with other expectations, but I decided to comment on this just the same. We'll see what happens and what the impact on the I fund will be.

I moved out today as well and was happy with the early estimate showing that we will keep most of yesterdays FV. That's why I moved out. I wasn't counting on another FV with a late rally but I will steal it.....uh I mean take it when I can get it.
I have had extremely good fortune in these FV steal scenarios. For the most part anyway. Of course that was pre-monkey days. Long live the monkey....

*I have redirected Sugar back to the appropriate thread for babbling incoherently....sorry for the interruption*

It's going to be a steal only if the I-fund doesn't cover the -FV correction (just supposing) tomorrow. If it covers and gains some more, then you've been... :cheesy:

What do you mean by "cover the -FV correction tomorrow."

I was referring to another +FV today being applied.
If you mean correcting it tomorrow, it would not be a -FV. It is a correction to make the pot right.

We're talking about the same thing. Say we get a +FV of .15 cents today, and the I-fund gains +.35 cents tomorrow, then +.35 - .15 cents FV correction = +.20 cents. You'd miss out on +.20 cents because you went to the G-fund, right? That won't be a steal. :)

Yea but we were moving out of the I fund today. A +FV will help today's price. We don't care about tomorrow's I fund result because we chose to leave at COB today. Yes we may lose the potential earnings in the I tomorrow, but who's to say that maybe the C & S fund would be higher then the I fund tomorrow.:D

That's right ATCJeff, you could have moved on to C & S, and not the G-fund. I think I may got my math wrong when I said, S&S would miss out on +.20 cents if I-fund paid +.35 tomorrow. It should be +.05 cents only. I think people who bailed out did the right thing, percentage wise.
