Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

Was there a time change with the OSM(daylight savings time)? Either they started 1 hour later or yahoocharts was 1 hour behind. Either way, the calculations for the I fund's closing price not be accurate for a while.

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

Bummer! This "I" fund is just Up and UP, I keep waiting for a dip to buy in and can't get one, mistake on my part. Buy HIGH and SELL higher! Now I think it's too late, stay in folks!!

I had the same problem back in Oct. Never had the correction that I was waiting for. Said the hell with and jumped back in and very glad I did.
Later, Vol46

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

Yeah, have done that before, now I think I know more (HA)? Making me feel like a Fool.:embarrest: Like today, I think it's not a good time to jump in, USM down today should have some effect on the OSMs tomorrow. We'll see tomorrow.:suspicious:

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

I went on the sidelines after today. Looking for some selling overseas tonight. Nikkei has been on fire. There should be some profit-taking afterall it has been up over a week straight. One more day of selling, I will move into the S Fund. Will keep you updated. fwiw or if anyone cares

Let me try and bound "..the next few months.." so as not to come across like a Mystic. I'm perceiving(high interest rates and oil prices will pretty much guarantee this) that we're in the initial stages of a more serious correction in equities throughout the world and this will last going forward the remaining part of this year and into the beginning of next year. HOWEVER, this could all change dependent on many scenarios involving differing policy shifts by the world's CB's. We could have a free for all in interest rate policy where each CB goes "rogue" thus doing away with what appears to be an ongoing coordinated interest rate event. Gold and oil(and commodities in general) should resume their bull markets for the next decade or so(probably longer).

Things should get pretty interesting as they pertain to bonds. Pay attention, it is my speculation that, Paulson's calling the tunes while Bernanke dances to the beat. They will do whatever it takes to protect their bonds and a MAJOR, if not ONLY way to do this, is by raising interest rates to entice those bond investors to keep holding them. Stay tuned as this is an ongoing work in progress... Good luck.

Back in the I Fund 100% at the $19.83 level. The next couple of months should determine an overall trend for the next couple of years. It could be very volatile. Good luck all.

No change in opinion as of today. I'm thinking even a severe correction in the domestic equity markets (7%+) wouldn't derail the existing trend. Good luck.

12%ayear,

You're doing great. Please keep it coming. We can all learn from each other's success or mistakes.

Here are some of the things I was hoping for prior to the deadline:

It looks like I got what I was hoping for at around 2 pm est. Today is the 6th day in a row that the sellers have failed to sink this market. Although, just before 1 pm est, I thought they were about to really take it down. Perhaps what we are seeing, in the last 6 days, is people slowly capitulating?

At these levels, we should see a bounce tomorrow. But if we don't get a bounce and the OEX falls hard through the 50 MA, then it might be time to run for cover.:D The dollar should fall again tomorrow.

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

I went from 100% I to 100% S (rather than G) before noon today...hoping that S was going down. and I would still be in the positive...wonder how I did...

Yes we care. We are proud of you.

I am not doing well. I may have to join TSPKey for guidance. I can't depend on anyone here for guidance because most everyone is into the competition thing and waits to noon to post.

I did pretty okay last year - who wouldn't with that market. This year is different.
