Current Estimate: Down .105% or 3 cents.

The dollar continues to fall and is off-setting much of todays losses. The Yen is on the rise. If this continues, we going to see some serious profit taking today. The Nikkei will definitely sell-off on the Yen's rise. The C or S fund looks tempting.

While the dollar might continue to fall, I'm not liking what I see today. This appears to be a typical bull/bears struggle after a big run-up. I see no bargains. I think it's safer to wait any see who wins. No need to try and guess an afternoon sell-off.

Vanguard will be introducing a new ETF(VEA) that mimics EFA and the I Fund.

Vanguard recently submitted the prospectus for approval by the SEC, so launch will probably occur in late summer.

This is huge for the I Fund but how will it affect it?

Pros:
Barclay’s iShares EFA is the benchmark International ETF and the largest by far.
Vanguard’s introduction into the MSCI EAFE arena will only increase exposure to I Fund stocks.
With a total of 3 EAFE ETFs: EFA, VEA, and of course the TSP I Fund, new money would pour in creating an explosive upside for the I Fund.

Cons:
The I Fund is tied in with and managed by Barclay’s.
Investors who transfer out of EFA and into VEA could create a sell off of Barclay’s ETF and it’s respective I Fund.

Any thoughts?

The G-penny came in. Every fund got something, even the I-fund. It got hit with only -.03 cents instead of the expected -.04 cents. :)
