MSCI EAFE Final: +.85% or +20 cents -27 cents FVC = -7 cents.

I'm confused. I thought the adjustment coming into play today was -24 cents. The I fund was up 54 cents yesterday but that included a payback of 30 cents from Tuesday's adjustment. Where does the 27 cents come from?

Yep! You're confused all right! :D

The MSCI EAFE was down 3 cents yesterday, then there was a 30 cent +FVC and another +FV of 27 cents on top of that. -3 + 57 in FVs = 54 cents. :)

By my calcs, we're finishing the day with the DJIA down about .4% from 11:36. If the EFA follows suit, we may just avoid a -fv...

The EFA had a big enough change for a 13 cent -FV, but I agree with you. The USM didn't change enough to warrant a -FV.

We got good numbers from Dell and the Yen is behaving much better today after the close and after hours, compared to yesterday after hours.

While I'm still pissed about losing money today due to a FVC, I'm feeling a little bit better about tonight and tomorrow.:)

Do not forget people Monday is Labor Day. OSMs still open and action will be counted. Also, you have the Fed meeting tomorrow ( not business related).. hint ...any good news will kill the US Dollar and rally the OSMs Monday and Tuesday. The best bet is the I Fund. P.S. I went to Home Depot....there were empty aisles and no customers. Retail and any thing related to Real Esate is dead. Fed needs to move fast or face the" BIG R". http://www.marketwatch.com/news/story/currencies-dollar-higher-ahead-fridays/story.aspx?guid=%7B38370CE6-ED19-4ACA-B1AC-75D066426C5F%7D&dist=hplatest

That's all folks! No FVs and all even. :)

It's a NO BRAINER folks...:)

Remember our last no brainer last week(Thursday/Friday). Barc put the screws to us with a higher +FV. Ended up losing 11 pennys Friday. Think I'll keep 50% in US markets and put the other 50% on the I.

Jeff

I thought our last no brainer was on the Friday when the Fed cut the discount rate. We only made a penny the following Monday because of it.

This is/was what I was talking about this morning. OSM will have to kick @$$ tonight for the I fund to finish ahead tomorrow.

Yes, it was paid back. If not for the FVC, we would of had a nice gain.

20-27 = -7

This is the second time in about a week that late afternoon rallies have killed our "No Brainer" calls.

Does anybody know what other markets, besides the US, will closed on Monday? If either Japan or the UK is closed for Monday(50% of I fund), I'd rather not stay in the I fund over the weekend.
