Didn't we have .23 cents coming from the FV from Friday? Plus up the 1.78%.
How come only .25 cents today? I see Msci Barra is at .15%. Is our I fund tied to Msci Barra or the Eaf? Could someone explain. I read the posting on how to get the FV, But I'M CONFUSEDDDD!!!!

I'm glad I stuck to my guns today. I made some minor adjustments and everything worked out as planned. My mistakes from last week cost me some money, but I definitely think I learned some lessons as a result of that loss.

Yes, we had a 21 cent -FV on Friday.

eafe +0.15%

Yes, the I fund is tied to the MSCI EAFE. It has nothing to do with the EFA(yahoo chart below).

Today, the I fund closed up .15%(or 4 cents) per MSCI. We had a -FVC (-FV Correction) of +21 cents for a total of +25 cents. We did not get a +FV today, despite this afternoon's rally.

If we went only by the numbers I would say we should have gotten a +FV today. All the indices had a movement of more than .5% and EFA had over .6%, but doubt crept in my mind when I used the one hand rule (I used the base of the hand to touch the line around 11:30):

As you can see, the line at the end didn't even go above the index finger. Strange 'cause the hand this time does not equal the .5 increment of the graph. It appears to be bigger, but following the one hand rule...it rules! No FV. :)

We had a -FV on Friday. Generally you see the correction the next trading day despite what the USM does right?

 FV's confuse me.

OK...I must have been confused by some of the posts stating that there was not a +FV on Monday. I must be off on my terminology.

So, if I have this right, there was a FV correction on Monday, but no additional +FV.

Thanks!

I believe that's exactly right.

On an editorial note, I kind of hope that the market delays real run-ups (if they're coming) until tomorrow, since my paycheck will deposit more funds into the TSP at the close of business today :)

Overall, a huge rebound this morning.

Japan is the exception, in part because of the election yesterday in Japan, in which the party which has dominated for 50 years was booted out. Japan was down fractionally on the news, as they try to decide what a change in Japan's party will mean.

Other than that, the rest of the world is up strongly.

"I" fund now showing expected up +.32 cents as of 9:00 a.m. this morning.
