350zCommtech's Account Talk

I can't wait to start golfing again. I need to start praticing down in the basement.:D

Oh no you don't!!! You left last year for golf and my TSP balance took a nosedive. You need to stay chained to your computer until I retire -- and that's gonna be a while!!!

Just kidding man. So, what's this season's goal? breaking 85? 80? going 2 or 3 rounds in a row without a 3 putt? 60-70% driving accuracy?

My oldest starts her First Tee in a couple of weeks... her goal? no 8's on the scorecard during "live rounds." Wish I could aim that high:D.

Average 90 and no 3 putts. Better short game. And no double pars.:D

I'm nearing 66 years of age, but still looking forward for the golf season.
With all the snow, we've had in Ohio, the golf season here will be pushed back this year.

Have you thought about moving somewhere where you can golf all year round?

My wife is still working at the Post Office and the children and grandchildren live here. We usually can play about 8 months out of the year(most years) and take a few golf trips.
I enjoy watching grandchildren playing high school sports.

Could this have been the reason for this morning's pump?

This looks like an attempt to breakout from a bear flag. It also broke below support. The histogram suggests there's lots of room to the downside.

If this is what I think it is, and their pump fails, lookout below.
I'm referring to the market.

350z,
I think a lot of your stuff is more telling than you realize and making some forecasts like this shows you've not only got a watchful eye but you're adding up the pieces.

I'd a thousand times rather be in SAFETY -- when the 'inevitable' is right around the corner.

Anyway -- I think you guys are on the ball ;)

Yep... good call.

You sure you aren't channeling the spirit of 12% through that crystal ball? :D

On the bright side, looks like 1089 might be a target for you again and you won't even have to change your charts, just the arrow's direction.

Have a good night all....

There could be a lot of burnt toast around here tomorrow when the SPX rockets up past the 1120 zone - very positive from my perspective.

Thanks guys.

I'm not at home so I can't look at TOS charts but according to CNNmoney, the Pound is getting pounded. If this holds tomorrow, it'll be a bear flag breakout.

TNX will launch. The F fund might be interesting for Monday as the smart move should be to fade this spike. The Feds will have to lure money back into bonds to bring yields back down. Whether they'll be successful is a big question.

I have no IFTs left so I'll be watching this from the safety of the G fund.:D

Damage control?

The discount rate move is part of a normalization process which is akin to our discontinuing many of our liquidity programs," Bullard, who votes on the Fed's interest rate-setting panel this year, told reporters in Memphis. "It does not indicate anything one way or the other about what we might eventually do with the federal funds ratehttp://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE61H62I20100219
This doesn't make sense. If they had waited until after the close Friday, there would have been less impact.

What is also strange is that while the futures recovered, the currencies did not.

I think it it has to do with the fact that they are calendar watching the events over the next few weeks before the "policy" meeting on 16 March.

If timed properly, they will not be "forced" into a rate movement and they can keep rates where they want.

Although the by line in this article shows New York/Puerto Rico??? Vacation Time for the Fed????

Maybe you're the one with the crystal ball?:D

Test of 1089 before bouncing higher?
