Unzip the file and save it as a .gif in your computer and then insert in into your post. There is a limit to the size of animation that you can attach I think it is 19K.

Actually, they were originally were Animated ".Gif" files - just too big in size for the limit imposed for such "Gifs", as you pointed out. This was the problem & reason why I went through the work of trying to "zip" these (because I noticed that ".zips" could be uploaded, and while this also reduces a file's size, the size limit for ".zips" allowed is much larger (up to 97.7 KB!). This seemed odd -

so I thought I'd try this, as a test, but so far, it doesn't seem to work like I'd hoped.
No big deal, of course- but that was my reason for the post - or if anyone had learned a solution for this.
It may not be workable, therefore stuck to smaller ".gifs" in posts.

You're right! The problem is that you have to unzip these files first then view them with a program that will display them correctly, IE will but it doesn't offer it as a choice after unzip. There may be a way, let me ask Tom.
