12%ayear's Account Talk

Rolling the dice? Sub-Prime Lending Disaster, Failing Hedge Funds, A China Market Correction, $80+ Oil, Greenspan, and Bernanke all make for the perfect storm. We're going to get that 10% correction... and then some. :worried:
That is what you think. Everyone comes out of the woods to become a market expert when the market is selling-off. Also,I notice many brag about being on the sideline and do not take into account, that there are many of us fully invested. Anyway, today is a true test for the market. The futures are nice and red. This is great, because in a market like this,it is better to open red rather then green like yesterday. The key is 10:00 when there are several keys reports coming out.FEAR creates VALUE. .....Oil? OPEC is going to drop prices because the higher oil prices will hurt them not help them. They want$60 not $80. The higher the price, the less people travel and spend. The less people spend, the less goods are needed, the less goods means companies will order less and less transportation costs.

And when the market is going up, right 12?

I've been asked not to post in your account thread and I have obliged. However, continued vulgar pm's from you will only cause me to continue to point out your short comings and arrogance to the masses.

Have a nice day and good luck.

Take a Chill Pill 12%, it'll be OK! I think you may have a handle on what could happen, but it can go more than two different ways and we are all making calculated guesses, except for me, I'm just guessing, cause i'm nnuuts:nuts::laugh::laugh:.

Maybe, I did not explain it correctly. I understand that there is a sub-prime problem. This problem was out in January along with the homebuilders. My point was that they are spinning this to scare investors. I thought we would get the sell-off the later part of the year and close in deep red. However; after reading and doing some DD, I thinking that this is the sell-off and we will bounce back harder. That is all you need is some brokerage(s) to state that the credit crisis is overblown.CNBC loves this, they spin it to sell ads, like the rest. Good Luck:)

NASDAQ and the small caps. are still down over 6-7%. This is when I strongly think we will see the S Fund shoot up one day .2-3% OVERDUE. The S Fund is a sleeping giant. Also, remember real estate is a bad investment short-term. Where will some of that capital go?...STOCK MARKET.

I decided to give the buy-n-hold strategy a try again. I wanted to see if the time savings vs. the money earned would make me a believer. I guess it's also like throwing darts. I must have picked the wrong time to try it.

I feel like I've got to hold now. I need to see how long it takes me to get my 7K back.

u bring up a good point, whether to hold or sell and dca back in to get the money lost back. i decided to take paladins advice and sell off some and keep some in stocks. i may have trouble deciding when to jump back in. guidance from the MB really helps.

THANX

I've concluded I was lousy at timing the market as it was going up and there's no reason to believe I will time it better as it goes down and levels and back up. I think 12%'s remark about coming back DEC 31 is good advice.
