Wal-Mart Issues Warning on Profits

http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/070515/earns_wal_mart.html?.v=6 KEY POINT..........................The tepid outlook from Wal-Mart -- considered a barometer for the retail industry -- could serve as a warning bell that rising gasoline prices and a weakening housing market will continue to eat away at consumer spending in the coming months. Today, I sense a little higher opening followed by a sell-off!!!

My actions speak louder than words. In this business, you have to be able to jump one second and stay one second. Leave emotions at the door.

Hey 12 thanks for the heads up on the ASPCA credit card. Ordered 6 for the kids - I figure if I'm the bank (Mr. softie) for the grandkids it might as well go to a cause I believe in.

On another topic have you ever checked exactly how Barclay's figures there FV (+or-)??

white :)

Hang Seng is hanging by a thread...IMO

My biggest concern with being in the I Fund overnight is that when, not if the Hang Seng tumbles. This will spread throughout the OSMs and the US markets. However;I think it will be worse than Feb. That is the gamble of being fully invested in the I Fund overnight. Hang Seng is extremely overvalued and it reminds me of the NASDAQ in March 2000. It could easily tumble 1000 points or more with panic and mania. Remember the Tulip story? Look at the chart.....http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=%5EH...m&q=l&c=...now look at the late 90s with the QQQQs......http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=QQQQ&t=my......Time to be careful.....also that Goldman Sach's statement , will kick in, like I said last week, it takes time, but it will happen!!

Good article 12% ...

I tried to fill my tank yesterday and only got as far as my gas card let me ... I stopped at $75 ... just a bit past 3/4ths of the tank.

I'd say I spend about $6000 in gas/diesel a year.

I went to the G Fund, do not like what i am seeing . Markets look toppy for tomorrow..IMO
I am getting a tad concerned going forward. Here are some of my reasons..Mortgage Applications Fell Last Week, warning season is coming, seasonally bad time of year, markets are way overbought, oil prices are going higher, weak retail sales, real estate sales,us dollar, and etc. The best thing to do is wait it out.I am very happy with my annual return up to this point, very close to my goal. I am going to stay put in the G Fund until I see a good entry point. Lets not forgot China, once it falls, you will see some huge %s losses worse than FEB. Time to be careful.Look at Home Depot yesterday...telling us that business is slowing look at Appiled Material today...Applied Materials' Stock Falls As Outlook for New Orders Weakens
