12%ayear's Account Talk

I'm sure Asia will be up tomorrow after our markets great run up today. Good luck!

I normally sit in the shadows and watch for I am too busy being constructive and serving my country the best that I can. I am quite sure that 99.9% of America does act in such a childish manor, only those who seek attention. If you have nothing good to say then simply let it go. It is quite obvious you feel inferior to your so called " flavor of the week" as you continue to ridicule his advice. If it is such bad advice why do you continue to come back?? I and many others appreciate 12%'s post and guidance. Please use your negative energy towards something constructive and live a happy life for the short time we are here.

GO NAVY!!

Let there be Peace on Earth, and on the board. It's bad enough to be losing my money today. We all know the rules so let's go by them. :suspicious:
Thanks

Not a bad idea. The government has automation on the brain, even when it makes no sense financially. This mindset has also migrated into OS gov’s and companies of all sizes.
What percentage of your non-TSP port is invested with this company?
A good read:

Did you ever trade with Margin? I know a way to trade with Margin and pay no house interest for the day. Many people do not know that e.g. 50k with margin is 100k , trade all day and close by 400est. and there is no interest.

Open up a Ameritrade account. There are many tools that are free. Postioning is key in making the money. Sell into the news, buy when nobody wants it. e.g. oil stocks were death in the late 90s, they shot up Tech was too hot and many made money shorting them. Gold is another example . I try to find plays that are values, with solid capital in the bank and a great business product.idea. That is why I was looking at IRBT, they also make Scoopa the vacuum, but robots are the wave of the future. Look at the Post Office. But there are a ton of stocks. Remember Taser or Travelzoo........shorts though is was easy, but the thing was the float. The smaller the float the bigger they run. both ways.TZOO was 5 bucks and shot to 110 I think.

:cheesy: Not bad for a Navy guy.

Barclay tucked us with -FV. At any rate I am still in the I Fund for today. Going to the reststop G Fund for Monday. As of today I am .89 under my goal. GL

Nice come back on the I fund. Next week, China IMO will get hit hard. Goldman Sach's comments always take a few days to hit.s

I have a feeling next week, we will get a sell-off. China will get whacked, which in turn will drag down all Asia,Europe and US.
....Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, who sent financial markets into a tailspin back in February with his worries about a recession, used the "R" word again on Friday although he sought to put a more positive spin on his views, emphasizing the likelihood that a downturn can be avoided.

Today, overall was a flat day. USMs are waiting for the numbers,Tuesday. After giving it some serious thought I stayed in the G Fund. Inflation is very much alive and kicking. Gas is doing a number on retailers. Also, many are cheering the markets to go higher,;however, I see some troubling signs ahead of us. Iran is becoming an issue more and more. Real Estate sales are plain awful. Homeowners do not feel as rich as last few years. The subprime mortgage is also very much alive. I will wait for a pull-back for entering. The dollar is going to go higher IMO short-term. The I Fund looks toppy.

Shouldn't inflation bring prices higher, including stock prices? What you are talking about (bad economy, higher costs) sounds more like stagflation.

Inflation

whatsthedefinition.gif

A steady increase in the general level of prices of consumer goods and services, or a continual decline in the purchasing power of money. Inflation is caused by an increase in the quantity of currency and credit relative to the availability of goods and services. Moderate inflation normally occurs as a result of economic growth. It is the opposite of deflation.

Stagflation

whatsthedefinition.gif

Occurs when high rates of inflation and high rates of unemployment happen simultaneously. In other words, when consumer prices rise and business output falls at the same time.
