12%ayear's Account Talk

Good on you mate......

This cayman character inherited a load of daddies money and is mostly p*ss in one hand and wish in the other.... good call!

Hey that's pretty colorful comment - seriously there traffic dog.:D Let me guess you park cars for a living.;)

I will be laughing in my new Aston Martin DBS that I ordered when I get it - and guess what - I will be enjoying the hell out of it.

Seriously, no offense 12% -probably just irritation with the market and that was a good call. I have just been irritated with this damn market since the 1st so to reiterate again no offense intented. I think we have a bond on the aspca thing so my apologies and anyone connected with the aspca has my utmost respect. My father taught me well on that subject. :) To the rest of you with indirect negative comments - place them where the sun doesn't - well you know.

Speaking of the aspca. anyone here sponsoring an animal through them? I've been seeing a lot of commercials so they must need more help than normal.

It's a great cause.

Oh I forgot to tell you traffic dog if you are real nice I will even let you park the Astin. Sorry I just couldn't help myself.

And on a serious note by the way before my father just recently passed away he gave a substantial amount of money to the ASPCA so don't forget help if you can because I've seen abused animals that made it some that didn't it and some that shouldn't have but have more heart than alot of people so don't forget the big picture because the donations are a drop in the bucket in terms of what's needed so give if you can if this is your thing. :worried:

Yes I volunteer one day a week . I walk dogs, clean cages, and hug them to death. These poor pets need love and homes. There are alot of mean people who mistreat them. On the other hand there are alot of caring people too. In these trying times for hard working families, now is the time to help the pets out even more because many just do not have the money to donate.

NP, your dad was a great man. I have spoken to him on several occasions about ASPCA.

The ASPCA is a wonderful organization that worked (and is still working) with local shelters and volunteers in the Gulf Coast states to care for and rehab pets and livestock displaced by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. I would think the ASPCA's resources are stretched to the breaking point by this additional burden. Please donate if you can, to the ASPCA, your local shelter or volunteer groups caring for displaced animals. Money, time and materials are needed. Even discarded newspapers help. Did you know you can donate used vehicles and take a contribution tax write-off? How about that trade-in, why not donate it instead? We have donated our last two cars rather than trade them in and gotten a tax benefit for it. One was a van which the shelter still uses for transport, the other they sold to the local dealership and used the money for much-needed supplies. Most of the shelters have recycling programs, so instead of tossing your aluminum cans and newspapers, check with your local shelter to see if they have such a program.
You are a great human being !!! The world needs more people like you. God bless you.

What a bunch of cuties. Dr. Faustus, you are your wife are awesome. To see people saves these beautiful animals to me is better than anything on earth. God bless you.

My father before he passed away and I became a financial and hands on part of the chowchow rescue league outside of San Diego. He was the financial person and I did my best to administer to other aspects as needed. Being a lawyer ( yes I know all the lawyer jokes;)) I spoke at several fund raisings at Stanford University being my alma mata being one of many and at one time we had taken in 23 chows on some qualified and supervised property outside San Diego. We paid for everything vet bills, medical care the whole ball of wax which I supervised. I'm not looking for a pat on the back but just a reminder of how much is needed to really help these animals. We eventually found over several years good homes for all the chows that survived there ordeal and are still periodically checked up on. What scares me the most in all seriousness is the depravity and cruelty that people can impose on a helpless trusting animal of whatever type for whatever reason this depth knows no bounds. We see it as well as people to people so don't forget time, money,(even the smallest amount) and just helping out believe me will be a reward in and of itself you will remember the rest of your life.

You have not met my cats! lol

I have both, cats and dogs. Luckily they all get along nicely...most of the time.
I have had in the past a bull and a sheep and pigs. Clyde(the bull) like to play head-butt when he was little..got too scary after he put on about 1220 lbs tho. He and the sheep would play when they were little, suffice it to say the Clyde now lives on a farm(in WV) with a whole lot of females to keep him company...he's one happy dude.
