Hints! He should have just cut rates right there at the speech. Lock your trays in the upright position.

This is my last comment on this. Phillyfed posted just 2 e-mails out of like 4. I deleted them. I wish I kept them so I could post them in here like he did the first 2. It would prove my case about this Yahoo. He pretty much SAID , HE was happy I was losing money in the I fUND YESTERDAY AND SAID TO SHOVE THAT HUGE THAT FV UP YOU KNOW WHERE. This is guy has problems and I have him on ignore now. ....Also, here is a post about EBBY on his thread.... quote.."Ebb was alright until he went public"

Its one thing you do not like the guy but to knock Ebby in a public forum while the guy is trying to run a business is not cool. Anway I plan not to talk about this whacko any longer and if any new e-mails from him I will post them here. I tend to stay away from him.

12%..I lost that day too...stinking Fv got us...and all I can say is that I never want anything bad to happen to anyone...and especially not to my friends and comrades on this site..Thanks for all you share and do for this forum..

Today is a perfect day for a solid green day. Futures and OSMs are red. On the economic calendar, it is a slow day until tomorrow. Earning season is done. All this tells me that the markets will explode this month unlike November. The Fed meets next week, so the Smart Money will be coming in and going long. Anther day, another sub-prime story. This is getting old and we all know the deal. http://money.cnn.com/2007/12/03/mag...avis.fortune/index.htm?postversion=2007120403. Time to jump into the I FUND for Wednesday. One day only.

U still feel strong about the S fund vs the I? I'm all in I fund now but debating to do a slit S/I for the month. Opinions anyone?

There's some technical confirmation to your call 12%... GOOG which has been a leading indicator of the indexes, has found support on the bottom of its 10day trendline that shows a very symetrical measured bull move. QQQQs closed that gap from a few days ago by touching and finding support off of 11/26 candlestick. The gap down this morning could have well been the bottom of the short term trend.

Transaction costs are investment expenses that reduce investment income before deductions for administrative expenses and are not included in the administrative expense ratio. (See the Thrift Savings Plan Statement of Changes in Net Assets Available for Plan Benefits portion of the Plan's financial statement.) Transaction costs of $13.8 million reduced the I Fund return by 8 basis points (or .08%) in 2006; net administrative expenses only reduced participants' returns by 3 basis points (.03%) in 2006.
Frequent trading also increases the cash the investment manager must hold to meet redemptions, which leads to a greater chance of differences in performance from the indexes tracked by the funds. It is the goal of the TSP to keep this "tracking error" as low as possible since the funds are designed to mimic their respective indexes.

The TSP is a huge plan with $235 billion in assets. Why are transaction costs of $15 million a problem?
As indicated in Question 8, transfer costs affect the returns of the funds. For example, the I Fund's transaction costs in 2006 decreased the I Fund's return by 8 basis points or .08%. The cost of administering the TSP program was only 3 basis points (.03%) in 2006. The Board is charged with keeping TSP expenses low for all participants. We have determined that trading restrictions will result in a significant expense reduction for TSP participants.
Something stinks. I'm thinking the lower the transaction costs, the more money they make. It's always about the money. I don't know about you guys but I can live with total costs of 8 or 11 basis points.

I agree 100% with you. Heck charge us for the transaction. I will pay.

Sounds like we've go em on the run...they are now backpeddling to justify their position...and guess what...their argument is less than persuasive...it certainly doesn't justify their actions to date..

If we keep pressing them on this ...we win..
