I had news on today, not really paying attention, but thought I heard that Uncle Ben may be speaking in November. I missed the news, but searched and did find that he is due to speak Nov 6-7 in Austin TX. Links follow... Being it is Chairman Ben speaking, I just thought I'd ask if you have any guess/insight how markets might respond positive/negative (if a guess is even possible).

He will have to be postive about the economy and say that the FED is ready to take action, if need......causing a rally!!
 
A frequent phase I use is, "There are many who wore (or wear) the uniform that don't know what it is to be a soldier. There are others that became a soldier down to the bone marrow - and when you're a soldier at that level, you're a soldier forever." Every veteran I've shared this with completely agree, because it holds true for them.

Talk about Fluff news with Citibank. The markets are once again overreacting to old news. We all knew last week that the CEO, Prince would resign and they would have more writedowns. Former Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin will step in, that is great news. This is a true buying opp off these fears. Most of the sub-prime news is already factored in.
"A new unit, the sole focus of which will be on managing the assets related to sub-prime mortgage securities and their resultant exposures, has been established," Rubin said in the Citigroup statement. Time to start a recovery here. Shorts galore. Squeeze coming IMO. Looking for a green day. DJIA down-95 right now!! I am looking for a triple digit gain on the DJIA today!!

I'm all in S fund today....if thats the posible scenario it might be good to move to the I cob today. Agree?

IMO, no....why? US DOLLAR is way oversold,there will be +fv, the smallcaps are lagging big-time and this is the time of year where they get bought. Banks are oversold,negative tone to the market with old news,oil is overpriced,the sky is falling....hmmmm TIME TO BUY;) I bet we have triple digit gains in the DJIA

The currency markets are telling me the same thing. Not necessary a triple digit gain, but definitely a rally. What's holding us back this morning is the UK market, but they will close soon.:)
 
U guys convinced me. I'll stay put. My reasoning was that the I fund follows the USM's. Ur right...if we have an afternoon rally they will be some serious fv.
 
this is the last 90 min. of action. Let's see what it brings. I see some recovery from here. Way oversold.
 
Oversold is an understatment in my book also. I hate it when it's this way and I'm 100% in the market!

Worden Bros software is showing balance of power bars on SPY, QQQQ on the turn... there have not been accumlation signs in weeks. Someone is making a play to turn it around... maybe its 12%?! :)
 
Today is going perfect by me. I was hoping to get 1 last good DCA position (today just slightly down) - hoping to get my last 25% into play - 20% more into S, 5% more into C. Now I'm strapped in and in prone position for Shuttle trip to zero gravity! Go America!
