WorkFE's Account Talk

Nice day yesterday. Futures are down this morning but it looks like we will have to wait for the open to see which way this market wants to move.
We could very easily see some profit taking early this morning and with the huge up and down swings it would not surprise me.
Markets could possibly trade sideways at least until it has some news to respond to, initial jobless claims number day after veterans day.
Overseas markets were higher but a rise in the dollar today could nolify the I fund, we shall see.
GL today everybody.

Parket played hide and seek up until noon. Could not pull the trigger so I guess I'm in for another 48 hours.

Veterans Day is a special day in my family, always has been. I remember as a young kid going to the parades with 3 generations of veterans (Great Grandfather, Grandfather and Father) and the respect they received from those in the community that new them. I guess it was destiny for me because the men that were most important to me had done so. That and I was born on June 14th. My mom used to tell me that was garbage man day.
It's different for me now that I'm retired. I used to tell my son when he was younger that he did not owe Uncle Sam any time. The four before him had given plenty. In years served I guess he figured we still owed the Marines a few.:D And I am undoubtedly the proudest father in the world.
Tomorrow I will have coffee with my wife before she heads off to work and I will thank her for making my time served extremely easy and for nuturing a son who believes in a greater good. Then it's off to the Veteran Organizations with friends to thank those who are separated from family.
Just a reminder: There have been a fare number of civilians who have given their whole careers to helping soldiers. In the group of friends I run around with we have one of these people and we always take him with us.
To my Brothers and Sisters around the world.
HAPPY VETERANS DAY

Since it is not past midnight. Happy Birthday USMC. Another great year of serving this wonderful Nation

Number of people filing for first-time unemployment benefits fell 12,000 last week to 502,000. Was hoping we would come in under 500K.
WMT beat estimates.
Not much left for the day and it's not even 9am:worried:

Through out history thugs have used many reason as to why they commit the crimes they do. Hiding behind religion is not new. Make no mistake, this is nothing more than a gang of criminals around the world. Chopping up Biblical text to suit ones ideology is appalling and unfortunate for those Muslims who have high Moral Values, use their religion to guide them throughout life and cherish it as I do Christianity.
"'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments"

Just as the Mobsters around the world do they prey on those who do not have a strong family to guide them. The world continues to get uglier by the day. I pray for those (not just muslims) who consider this the way God intended.

Would the shameful publicity of being refered to as `Homicide Bomber' make a lick of difference in the minds of the non-radicals? After all - the goal of the bomber is first to take out non-believers, particularly Americans & Israelites; dying with that action is what gives them their `glory.' So if you believe the murder is first goal, then you recognize committing suicide with only yourself in attendance doesn't cut it.
Would the parents who agree for their childrens' attainment of Glory continue to react with pride on their kid's perceived accomplishment?

Futures up strong this morning. Keeping an eye out all the way to 11:50. I may pull a small % into the garage if it looks like we are up big today and the VIX drops significantly. (a point or more) And may continue that pattern all week. Thats the plan anyway. Down days can obviously put a damper on my parade:(

woohoo finally over 1100! i hope it stays that way :) no need to pull into the garage work its a beautiful day to run the bulls :)

The VIX is in the drivers seat for me this week, all emotion is put put away. If we have a big up day with significant drop in the VIX I am on the fence to pack alittle away.

The VIX held me in check today. At least for the next 24 hrs. I'm 35,35,30 CSI and holding.

"The bottom line for those inclined to follow the lead of the insiders: Don't give up on this rally yet."

I think most people are cautiously in and are watching the Fed, dollar and an assortment of other items that are currently being held in check by not just our government but those around the world. When they move off these controls you may lose some of this bullish sentiment.

Futures are down big again this morning:sick: If we continue to retreat atleast will be able to do some more discount shopping:blink:

There are those that want this thing to dive off the cliff with a huge correction because they did not believe it would go this far up and got caught with their pants down still holding in cash preservation. What were they thinking.
There are those that have been stair stepping their way up, working hard, and have achieved modest gains. They are no doubt in cash right now because that has been their cautious approach for the past 8 months.
Then there are those who have been gambling, taking huge risk. They have made great returns for the year and if they moved to cash right now and did not make another dime this year could still pump their chest because their returns are that good. It is not in their nature to move to safety.
I am off to chase Rudolph around the Peabody Wildlife Management Area this weekend and forget about something that is not on my radar for another ten years.
Good luck today, maybe the bulls will put the brakes on this thing today or maybe not.
Have a great weekend everybody.

be safe and good luck hunting , i am ready , running short in my freezer, and hope to fix that tomorrow

Had to settle for a nice fat Farm field fed Doe. Seen lots of turkey, 1 bear and also ridded the farmer of one of those pesky Coyotes. Nice relaxing weekend. Logged about 20 miles on my boots.

Futures are up nice. Back to work.

Nice! That's not settling, that is deer hunting. Glad you got to see some action.

Kill all the coyotes you can. They need to put a bounty on them.
