WorkFE's Account Talk

Got back late Sunday from My nephews beautiful wedding in San Antonio. Got back just in time to start a barrel fire around my fruit trees to keep the frost off. Go away Mr. Winter.
Not alot of good news this morning and it shows. Is this a continuation pullback from friday or is the little rally over and we are headed back to the 600's? Down hard in morning trading.
If it continues to pull back until the beginning of the month (when I'll have IFT's) I might use my other 50% dry powder and go all in if it looks like this was a sell the news reaction. we shall see.

Fortunately as we were gaining the past 2 weeks I squirreled alittle back into the Garage. After friday and today I wished it had been more but I'm not complaining. Atleast not until the rest of this week plays out.
No problem on the air, it's free, until the gov't figures out were getting over on them.:D

LMAO. Thanks for stopping by.
Coolhands SS info the last 2 weeks was good to me. Should have already done it but I might be 100% Garage COB tomorrow unless there is some indication we get a couple days worth of bounce.

Good luck tomorrow.

Thought about sneaking into the Garage with alittle more coin but decided I wanted to be in to start the month. In the event this thing rambles along for a couple weeks I'll already be in 50% and still have my 2 IFT's, just in case I lose my nerve.

Nice little jump today, got back some of Fri-Mon losses. I hate ignoring CH's SSSS but It's possible the market lags the signs 5-10 days. (Hopefully)

CHICAGO (Reuters) -- Walgreen Co.'s Take Care health clinics are offering free visits for the rest of the year to those who lose their jobs and have no insurance.

Good image move, that will probably pay dividends down the road.

I'm a sucker for Positive news but after checking out todays futures and with the summit ongoing (Politicians making statements all day) I hope I don't regret not being in the Garage.

Good luck today everybody:)

Manufacturing index rises more than expected

Outplacement company says planned layoffs fell for second straight month

Little bits of positive info help. I'm taking bets that someone in the admin will talk around 3pm and ruin what could be a positive day.:notrust:

Do to popular demand, I vote we lock in the futures values as of 8:23 AM this morning and count them as todays close. Wall street take a day off.

All in favor say yeah, all opposed don't get a vote:D

How about a postponement until I'm IN to WIN ! :D

You know after I hit the submit button I knew there was a segment of TSPers who would oppose. (thats why the no vote)
Us risk takers always thinking of ourselves:nuts:

Transportation leading this train.
Be warey however, the VXO is up 3.5% and the VIX is clawing its way back.

What a fantastic day today. Congrats to everybody.
There are alot of people drinking the coolaid right now and there is nothing wrong with that as long as investors don't think we are on the road to recovery.
I, like many, have used this rally to claw my way back to even. Risk what is exceptable. I believe we will have more moves up than down over the next few weeks but at 64G-12C-12S-12I. I am risking alot less than what got me in the big whole to begin with.

Good luck tomorrow everybody.:)

BTW as of COB today, I am in positive territory. #66

The VIX finally closed under 40 today, a great sign. The VXO is right behind it getting close to 40. :)
VIX is a key measure of market expectations of near-term volatility of the S&P. Used properly with additional informed analysis it is a great barometer of market volatility.

http://www.cboe.com/micro/vix/Bibliography.aspx

The historical high for VIX--X was 80.86 on the 20th of November 2008.
The lowest price was 9.89 on the 24th of January 2007.

Although not a pile on day like yesterday I was happy for all those who jumped in yesterday. I know I would have been sweating it out today after yesterdays closing price.;)

Decided to throw this out there in case any one was interested.
My wife and I needed a few things today, doing alittle house work.
1. Stopped by Sears, needed some new 19.2V batteries for my cordless tools. Place was packed with, not shoppers, BUYERS. I did not watch to see if they were cash transaction but people were out buying things, in bigger numbers than 2 months ago.

2. Went to Sam's, needed a new beer miester (you all are invited), place was packed, alot of benjamins being thrown around. Did not surprise me being a Walton family business and all.

3. Stopped by Lowe's, needed a new faucet for the new bathroom sink/cabinet we had to have (bought at 84 lumber) I was absolutely astonished by the people traffic in what is supposed to be a down turn economy.

Nothing earth shattering but interesting to me.
GL this week.

2 words........"tax refund" But, what heck every little bit helps.

NASA,
Only problem with the tax refund notion is that those who count on tax refunds as income to go shopping with tend to do that earlier than April and don't do it at the store I just mention other than maybe Sam's. (If they are members) Others who wait this long generally are those who owe Uncle S. But you could be right. The weather was great this weekend and may have drawn some folks out of their hole.
Next weekend we will be checking out an auto dealer and farm equipment store. I suspect there will be some traffic.
Have a great week everybody.
