WorkFE's Account Talk

In the three thousand point rally of 2003 there were very few deep corrections of 6% or better - most were of the 3% range. I wouldn't worry that much about April. We may simply have a high voltage run.

Asia, Australia and Europe looking pretty good last night. A little gloomy in the UK but what else is new.
Some AIG EXECS give back bonus (Not news in my book)
Low volatility in commodities (Good sign)
VIX and VXO were both down between 5 and 8 % yesterday, I'll be watching to see which way they head and how quick when the market opens.
Today could very well be a "Take a breather day" I would think that this mourning will show some pull back but in the end enough buying in the afternoon to be flat to the green side.

Good Luck today everybody:)

Finally the VIX and VXO for the first time today are moving in the same direction, DOWN:)

well i moved out of your way , you backed stroked right passed me , sitting on G lilly by the chart looks like i sunk like a rock:D please send another air tank down when you can:laugh::blink::nuts:

I have ~7% spread across CSI and with yesterday's big run, I thought I'd get at least some benefit. That turned out to be not much in the real account, and about 10 spaces down the list on the tracker. So while we're waiting April to get here, please pass the air tank...

Sorry guys, this dog won't hunt. I'd have to swim to the top, passing you all by the way, then swim back down past you dropping off air tanks.

Did I not just see an article about this, hmm.
What the heck, I'll be back with some air. Hope it don't take to long:worried:

Turbo, I used to focus on the ranking column. Now my primary focus is on the YTD percentage column and the need to see it on the positive side of zero. :D Good luck.

Well if yesterday was a "Take a breather day" I hope we don't have many more of those. I was expecting flat to green:(
Todays another day. Pres. spoke last nite, nothing we have not heard already. Glad to see them give alittle more attention to our southern boarder.
World markets had some pull back as expected. US futures tracking slightly green.
New orders for Durable goods up 3.4%, thats nice, probably because of all the security fence people are buying:)
I heard some talk of recovery end of 09 beginning of 10. We are 6 months away from 4th quarter CY09 so I don't think that prediction is far fetched.
Recovery is the easy part, opening our wallets and purses to pay for all this will be the painful part.
Unless the sky starts to fall, I'm staying put today, 49G, 17C, 17S, 17I. Although it is raining here in KY I see green skies today.:D
Good luck today everybody.

On monday's big rally the VIX and VXO were down 5-8%.
I'm not seeing that today, way to early and could mean nothing at this point.

I guess it did mean something.
Funny, on days when there is absolutely nothing for this market to hang its hat on it goes up.
Today there was at least some positive news and this think can't stand on its own.
The VIX and VXO recovered and showed its ugliness. @$$holes

Stiil a chance to finish in the green though.

Very good chance, over the next couple of days, we will just trade sideways. Market is digesting alot of information right now. Still could be some 5% days but in either direction making it extremely tough to make a decision.
There is some good news to be had:
-Better than expected home sales report.
-Home Builder stocks surging
-Oracle announces first ever dividend
-Asia stocks are up

Good luck today everybody.

1530 Hours, Get out of the way there is no telling what this thing might do and I don't want anyone getting hurt.

Remember, no one gets hurt sitting on the lily pad - they just don't make any money. Hesitation can be expensive.

4 days down and one to go. It has been an amazing 2 weeks.
Unfortunately I'll be on a plane tomorrow and will be cheerleading you all from the sideline.
This thing has picked up some steam but I still would not count out a pull back at some point.

Good luck.

The cash that has been on the sidelines is starting to create a tsunami that will wash clean any bears in the way. The only entry points from this point forward will be offered intraday so the sooner someone buys in the more gains available. But remember most investors still are plagued with fear and will act like a deer in the headlights. Hesitation will be expensive.

You are preaching to the choir Birch. But 50% in is all I'm giving. I'll keep the other 50% dry powder.
