Considering the big swings we've had over the past month and the fact that no serious damage has been done to the VIX (>32) I'm not holding out any hope (as of today) that we can hold these or more gains through the week. Turning the tide is difficult we shall see.

This market struggle reminds me of a time fishing in the Ohio at 2am. Almost lost a good friend to a 50# cat, dark night and that mysterious river.
Puts sitting tight, fully invested or on the lilly pad, in perspective.

I'm liking what I'm seeing. 4th straight day would be somewhat convincing or at the very least provide some comfort (Exit Point) for the worry warts.

FWIW I am keep a close eye on my F stock. I may sell and repurchase at later date if it looks like this is coming to a head. Essentially doubling down.

Completed my preparation for my weekend archery get away.
All scouting complete. 1 in the 150 to 160 class. I have one of those in the books already but if he walks by my stand 1st day he's mine.
I don't know what all this means but late last nite futures were green, this morning total opposite. They do seem to be coming back to neutral however.
Nice to see the politicians have mended fences and are playing nice.

Well yesterday certainly was a downer. Got all dressed up for #5 and it no-showed. &^*&^%$^%$@#

The jobs number today could crush or rally us but maybe not the way you might think. If the numbers come in way lower than expected (which I believe to be around 53K) you would think we would tank. However the numbers might be a precursor to QE3 and some may frontrun the market on this data in anticipation of that. Time will tell.

If the numbers come in at or above those numbers it could be like letting the air out of the ballon affect.

Or we could just be like normal and go down some more regardless of the numbers

In any event you all have a great Labor Day weekend and be safe.

Good luck and don't get too overheated this weekend. I've got 4 more weeks for our Indiana season to open. Looking forward to fall temps and maybe some of that stuff that falls from the sky that we haven't had for 2 months.

This market can easily take it all up on Tuesday. A rally of another 300 points is certainly doable which keeps me buying. Better still make that gain 375 points.

Negative. A nice 6, full velvet perfect symetry and a ratty 9 but nice body size.
The 9 went to Hunters for Hungry, the 6 is be processed and already at the TD.
The full velvet mount is for my office.

I do not post pics for that very reason and yes it is for the home office. I have a feeling when the wife see's it in velvet it may end up somewhere else.

a 9 point is impossible unless there is some stumpy abnormal growth on 1 side of a 4 pointer.
