WorkFE's Account Talk

We may see some profit taking over the next few days as the QTR draws to a close or we may see some window dressing. Personally I'd like to see some profit taking so I can use my last IFT to put some more in risk. I believe April will continue its upward march. IMHO.

I encourage everyone to only take Risk in accordance with their ability to take value losses predicated on their age and time to retirement.

Futures are currently green but lately that has not meant a whole lot.

General Motors says it will make another $1.2 billion in loan repayments to the U.S. and Canadian governments by the end of this month. This could be a market mover depending on the time of day.

Does anyone know when GM plans on a public stock offering?

GL today everybody.

The beat continues its lackluster mobility. Could be waiting for more investors to step aside or more to jump in to the money pit.

"Yawn" I get tired just watching the market action, it's like watching paint dry...

Holidays over, what does tomorrow have in store for us after a 3 day Market holiday.
Hope everyone enjoyed Easter. My wife was a little depressed, she usually has an easter egg hunt for the nieces and nephews. Nobody made it into town this year. Bummer.
Visited a friend of ours around noon, she made me stop at the store to buy their 6 YO a stuffed easter bunny and some candy. Sure hope our boy thinks about marrying and giving this woman a grand daughter. She's driving me nuts.

Good luck tomorrow everybody.

Futures pointing lower but we've seen this before. Float around in the red and then come out the other end glowing green.
CH's SS says buy so today could be a dip buy in opportunity. I am considering my other 50%. I'll wait until about 1130. See you all then.:)

Sitting at a crossroad. Considering we could have a decent pull back today I have 50% to dump in. But I believe after several of our buddies speak speak between 1230 and 1400 we will end in the green. What to do what to do.

I know what Birch would do, what about the rest?
CH, SS still on a buy?

GL today everyone.

I've got 30% in based on what I feel to be a good hedge if I'm wrong. Too much too fast with all the good news already priced in. This flat top breakout doesn't inspire me. This is week 6 in the green. The last time we had 6 straight weeks in a row was off the March bottom, then followed a pause week, followed by a month of volitility before a healthy pullback. It's just an observation.

JTH,
It's dropping hard now. I did not make a move today so I'll be looking for some follow threw tomorrow to push more in or over the next few days.

Might need some air when it's all said and done.:(

I myself want to see how Friday plays out, this will tell me what the smart money is thinking going into next week's Tax deadline & Options Expiration.

Still holding 50% in cash. Thanks JTH, I believe I may continue to hold what I've got. Not hurting anything.

Living the American dream is not easy and if you thought it would be then you need to move back in with mom and dad.
It's time to ruck up and shoulder the burden, it's what we do. I'm not a socialist, republican or democrat, I'm an American and the one thing I know is they are going to squeeze us until we react. At that point someone will say "we might be squeezing to hard"
My parents went through it, their parents went through it and my parents parents parents went through it.
Be informed and make a plan.

Well, I just learned last night that sometimes even when you're trying, having a place to come back to makes a difference. My cousin's son, somewhat rocky personal life, not married to his baby's mother, but provides child support. Was sharing an apartment with another guy, holding down a job paying good enough to get by for himself (as long as sharing apartment expenses) and pay child support.

Roomate moved on, out, can't afford the apartment by himself. His folks converting their basement into standalone apartment, he's moving in. They'll still charge him rent, but affordable rent. He hasn't made it to college, don't know that he ever would. It's tough on young people right now, even when they're handling their responsibilities best they know how.

Nothing wrong with doing what needs to be done to continue moving forward.
If it was my son I would bank the rent and when the job situation gets better he should have enough for a nice down payment.
Always moving forward. That's how it's down. IMHO
