WorkFE's Account Talk

Re: ift

I'm back, Thanks nasa.

Have we seen Santa Claus already or is there some upside through Christmas?

Re: ift

After last weeks roller coaster I pretty much ended right where I started, go figure.

Oil is getting beat up again.

Hold on everyone, the weather outside is frightful. :beerchug:

Re: ift

Well these big down days sure are depressing. When the smoke clears where will we be, dunno.
My hunch is we have a bit more pain coming, 400-500 more points on the DOW but that's really just a guestimate.

Could we be starting a protracted painful Bear Market? Some think we are already there. Or are we just shaking the trees to make room for some new fruit?

2016 is going to be a wild ride.

Re: ift

It is tough looking at the tracker (-10%) but I'm in it for the long haul.
Unless the wheels totally come off this thing, I'm holding fast.

Snowmagedon has started here in the Bluegrass State.

Re: ift

Yes...it's been tough for sure but I'm right there with ya brother! I've been very close to running back to the "G" fund with my tail squarely tucked between my legs but turned off the 'puter and went outside to the shop and got busy. I am also trying to ride this thing out so hopefully today will give us a little relief and hope.

Good luck to ya....LS

Re: ift

Obviously I would have preferred to have a different TSP allocation when the market turned south but I will not fear the down turn or a bear market.
There is risk in everything we do. Drive to work, eat at Chipolte, mow your lawn etc.
Reminds me of a story back in 2009, coworker friend of mine complaining about the melt down, 1 year away from retirement. I ask what their allocation was, 100% across the board C, S and I. You enjoy the reward, you accept the pain.
Hedge your bets folks and make sure Time is a factor when making decisions.

Re: ift

Well I stayed away for a while. I'm still in the whole YTD but having a good March is making the digging much easier. Today looks to give a bit back though.

I've been busy locking up a land deal on Lake Livingston in Texas for my Honeys retirement home.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Re: ift

Is that light I see. hmmm.

Well March is over and it was kind to many of us. Couple more months like that and I will have to look into the new Tesla Model 3.

Re: ift

Congratulations!!! I refused to chase because didn't trust it could go that high. Looks like I'll be driving my 05 Civic for another ten years. :D

Re: ift

Well my plan was to side step to the G or F today but sometimes there are more important things to do. Maybe tomorrow.

Re: ift

Looks like the I fund was the place to be yesterday, who would a thunk it.

Lets see how today shapes up.

Re: ift

Maybe shoulda done his yesterday.

from 50C - 50S to 50G - 50F
