Hi WS:

I sanded all 7 of my battens on the mainsail. That took about three hours. The sail has much more of an airfoil shape now and it is pointing at least 20 degrees better. I can now sal a strong close reach and a slower cose haul, but that was impossible a month ago. I can't wait for the new jib to get here. I am enjoying the water this summer...so much more fun than this market.

I'm still in G because of Tom and Trader Fred...Once I see that the markets "shifts" have stabilized more than they are now, I'll jump back in...just biding my time right now..

That's amazing, getting another 20 degrees from sanding your battens. Who woulda thunk. Not me. Wind today is 15-25 mph and it's killing me sitting behind this computer. Maybe going out this afternoon and scream across the lake on the Hobie. Markets tough right now. I'm watching others on the board for a sign to move back in.
 
I haven't heard from WS yet, but I'm around CC if you need to chat...

Seems awfully quiet out there today...by this time the leader on TSPTalk have usually had a few things to say...

It's like waiting for a pin to drop, or for the Fed to lower interest rates..:D

This dang job is cutting into my TSP time. There was some post earlier from Griffin and 350Z and then they were gone. I got an email from Tom saying it was fixed now. Holding my 100% stocks allocation for now....:nuts:

I went 35G, 35S, 30I...sounds like we're on the same page...I'm still a bit risk averse, hence the G holdback...GL CC....GL WS

Was planning on buying stocks today but, got tied up at work and missed the deadline. I guess that's what I get for waiting to the last minute. Going to see what Monday brings...:D

I know! I keep telling myself, I'm not going back in the frog pond but, somehow I find myself back in. And I very rarely ever come out ahead. I might get hammered today in stocks....:nuts:
 
Well I missed the boat on this one...:( Now I have to sit on the lilly and watch until we get another pullback. Congrats to all who took the risk..:D

It's good to hear from you. I've missed your posts. Hope all is well. Have you had a great sailing summer? It's getting about time to think about "winterizing", but I still have 3 weeks to 5 weeks of good sailing left and I plan to use them wisely. Best of Luck in making your jump back in..Now I just need one more day of good luck..:D:D

All is well! I have spent most of my summer on the Hunter or my Hobie. I sail all winter long so looking forward to the fall and steady winds. Good luck today...:D
 
Heck CC, all we need is one 1000% day and we'd be all be there!!!:D:D:D

WS, sounds great. We're having our Commodore's Ball on October 13th. Everyone is coming as pirates, wenches, soldiers of fortune, etc. It should be fun!!!I'll probably be drinking rum that night...Nnuts would enjoy it too!!!

Listening to the leaders, everyone is being tentative and expecting a downturn (I hope not but...), and expecting to DCA back in next week. Birchtree says just sit tight and enjoy the ride up...but 12%, Ebb, and others are suggesting the "Be Very Careful Approach". The news media and wall street sharks are already selling the bad news...I just hope I have one more UP day before I have to jump out. GLWS
