Ha!!! Great move Whipsaw! I'm there too. C'mon Santa. Well... I was talking about discipline but so much for that... threw it right out the window! I should have waited another day or two, but last night reviewed my strategy and tried to incorporate something I read at Investopedia about an eggroll... yess you heard right.

In any case, I just could not resist jumping in. If things go south, I will need to take a hard look at my decision making process and probably conclude that I revised my strategy to do what I wanted to...just wish I had done that two days ago, when I really wanted to get in on Tuesday. Dang it.. Well... will see how it all turns out.... :D
 
Just remember the market is not your friend but remains bullish until proven otherwise. We are probably looking at the 5th or 6th fastest 1,000 point advance for the Dow. The quickest 1,000 point advance was from 10,000 to 11,000 level in 1999 at just 24 trading days - we just topped over 600 points in 2 days.

I refused to get in on Tuesday waiting for "hard" confirmation. Now I'm regretting that decision. But the charts still look good for a longer term so we should still do well.

Not sure what defines "hard confirmation" but I'm pretty sure by the time we're there, we'll be pretty damm close to the major double top...

Confirmation is what you get when your chosen technical indicators trigger a buy or sell signal
 
The algorithm machines know when we traders will get in and beat us to it and eat all the sweet stuff, makes me sick!

Rocketed past the G fund again, in the other direction! Sheesh... Not a good year for me; here's to a fresh start :)

Happy New Year everyone! ... I think... :blink: hopefully yesterday's decline is temporary and we move back up (of course, hope not being the best trading strategy). I may have already missed a move to safety, we shall see what Friday brings... sticky pants into the New Year?
