Are the 2nd and 4th trading weeks in the month best or was this just an odd month?

You seem to be one who favors statistical data, pick up a copy book/PDF of the trader's Almanac. It should keep you entertained for a while...

I'd say no. And wouldnt suggest any week as best. :toung:
You'd need to compile alot more past performance data but the market will always throw you a curve anyway.
The "be invested on the 1st day of the month" isnt bad advice, but its not going to work every month either.
"Stay till May and go away" is popular advice, often true but again not always.
Certain patterns may exist for a while, this is true but they dont endure for long. Last year being invested on Mondays was a pretty good way to score gains, and if Monday was a holiday then Tuesday was often a winner. I guess just play whatever "pattern" there is at a given time and know when the pattern is played out.
Is it clear as mud now?? :blink:
