Our tech folks in NY have done some optimizing butnever did find any specific problems.

As I have mentioned, I have had no issues at all on the forum the last two days so this is kind of strange considering what I'm hearing from others.

Our tech's final report right now, said...

I've done a performance test on the site from outside our network and it appears to be loading fine. I've browsed around the forum and gone through the different threads without any issues. If you have any issues or concerns, please let us know.

Forum had been running fine since this post.
 
it runs faster now without the 'top 30 stats' and stuff, but now i am lost to navigate the forum, that is my prefered view.

i had time delays all day of 1 to 5 minutes for forum pages to load both from work and mobile network.

what does not make sense is the forum has been lightning fast for the better part of 4 years with that feature on. i find it hard to believe that overnight that feature is now the culprit of slow page loads. that indicates something else changed. or else a new feature was added to the 'top 30 stats' package and that modification is where the problem lies.

can you go back to prior release version of the 'top 30 stats extra package'? or look at was has been 'upgraded' in the new extra package and turn those features on and off individually until find the culprit.

Agreed, but I'm sure it will be back, perhaps he's just going to increment it back in steps.
 
The question is, which of the 20+ add-ons was causing the slowdown? The "Top Stats" was one that does put a lot of extra strain on the severs.

I'll put them all back and play with it over he holiday. What's difficult for me is that I am not having any slowdown problems, and nor did our server techs, so it may be difficult to pin down.
 
What's your speed? 3.16 seconds for me for the forum home page...

yay! top 30 stats is back and fast as ever so that is not the problem. maybe if i stop browsing porn and ordering russian brides that would help?
 
FWIW, everything is loading fast as usual on the iPhone app. I was having issues last night on my laptop though.
 
The slow-falling snowflakes on the front page is a nice touch!

Page is running fast/normal from the laptop for me today. Just needed a little touch of holiday spirit?
