Watching the Bounce for Sign

Let's see how this bounce reacts before doing anything. The bears are in control until the bulls can prove themselves. I do like to see turnaround days start down and have buyers step in rather than seeing an up open only to see sellers step in.

If I do anything today, it may be to get 25 to 35% in but I'm going to wait and see how the morning plays out.If we see a lot of sustained strength this morning, I mayjump into theI fund strategy.

The durable goods orders report for February will be out tomorrow (Wednesday) andis expected to rise by 1.8 percent in February compared with a 2.3 drop in January. I get the feeling that the market is looking for incentive to buy so maybe a good report will help it get going.

There are other reports out tomorrow that may affect the market also.

Wednesday: MBA Mortgage Applications Survey, ABC News/Money Magazine Consumer Comfort Index, New Home Sales, Monthly Mass Layoffs

Thursday: Jobless Claims, GDP Q4, Existing Home Sales, The Conference Board Help Wanted Index

Friday: Personal Income, University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment Survey

Do the release of key reports influence your decision to test the waters and get back into stocks?

The market is looking for some good news to get it going. The problem is whether the new is will be good or not.

Do you remember thegraph I posted last week about the week following expiration week being down? Well, Wednesday was the only day in that week that actually showed a gain. (http://www.tsptalk.com/comments_archive/comments_3_19_04.html)

So far today wehaven't made a higher high or a lower low fromyesterday's action. This doesn't give us very good direction for tomorrow. We may know before the day is over but unfortunately that will be after the 12 noon deadline.

My gut feeling is to wait and see. Even if this is the start of a bounce, we will get another opportunity. I'm not ruling out that 25 to 35% move into stocks. I haven't decided yet. I have an hour.

That may be the best way to play it PR.

The "rebound" is looking a little pathetic right now actually. I wouldn't be surprised to see it fall apart here before long. S&P up 3.29 right now. We'll see.

No action yet.

Not much conviction either way. S&P up only 0.91. Sliding down a little further......

I'm going to be a little bolder (or stupid).

50% G, 25% C, 25% S.

Here's wishing good fortune to all of us who make the leap......

Did anyone get the email alert yet? I haven't. I sent it out at 9:30 ET. :X

Sorry, I meant 11:30 ET(9:30 my time). I'm not sure what is causing this delay. I can check the mail report and see when it's being opened and for the first 1/2 hour, only AOL email addresses were getting it.
