Model is only calling for small higher highs and higher lows tomorrow. If I can get nugt near today's lows on gdx, I probably will, if dust stays near the upper part of today's range, I may hold.

I ran it yesterday. It likes going nugt circa 1500 ET.

Since then, I've added a few more technical indicators to its 'toolbox.' I'll post an update when it finishes.

Back from the states, how did you do the last 2 weeks?

I've seen better. I've seen worse. I've used this cliché before: Not my first rodeo.

I usually don't get emotional about trading (been there; done that)...that, is so early 2000's. I've had several brokers over the years, in the early 2000's I believe I was with MyTrack. They had active chat rooms. During the market melt down back then, I saw folks implode online. I hate to admit that my younger self found it funny, as well as sad. Now, in my current wisdom, I don't find such things funny anymore.

There are emotional traders; and there are old traders. But, there are no old, emotional traders.

I normally don't ask folks about how their trading is going, unless they ask me. I've found over the years that folks that ask others how their trading is going are (1) Either looking for company in their misery; (2) Passively reviling in the misery of others; or (3) want others to ask them how their trading is going.

Folks that are doing well, and want others to know about it, usually have no qualms about tooting their own horn. So, no matter how curious I may be, I'd rather not (try not) run the risk of potentially opening up another's wounds. If they wanted to talk about it, they usually will, on their own...I find.

But since I make my trades public, that is usually the reason folks ask me, ...I'm sure.

Anyway,

Position sizing is to me, what stop-losses are to most others. While I'm generally a private person and it's not my intent to mash this thread/project with my personal trading, I do trade as I post (with respect to the signals). However, I don't get into specifics as to quantities/percentages. Others do that sort of thing and I enjoy reading about it (a natural human trait, I suspect), it's just not my cup of tea. Even so, rest assured (fwiw for anyone to know this) that I never "back the truck up" for any one trade.

The sudden drop [in GDX] after FOMC made me realize and fix a "flaw" in my algorithm. Such days usually are the most educational for most...or for me, at least.
