UQ, please help! Re NUGT/DUST trades, you opened your $10,000 port around June 1, 2015. On approx. Aug 13, you posted a handsome chart sporting a growth in port to $18,051. The last chart I can find is Aug 28 when the port dipped to $8,506.

I can understand that you don't want to post charts showing the results since the end of Aug. So, forget the charts. What was the port balance at the close of your last trade?

LOL...I don't mind posting the results. The pain motivates me. I knew the job was dangerous when I took it. :)

If I were scared, I would have stopped long before $8,506. :)

I posted to this effect a few times already, but I stopped updating because fixing/improving the system was/is more important than posting portfolio results. I still posts trades and anyone is free to do the math themselves until I finally update things. I am close to posting a chart/portfolio etc. upgrade, but it's hard to predict when that'll be as the system is dynamic--especially before it 'matures.' The new system uses lots of computer resources while it build its database/matrix. Once they are built, things will settle down a bit.

Finally, I don't know the value of the portfolio until I plug in all the trades and compute it. Hopefully this weekend. :)

Nice gap up this morning... too bad I was too chicken to hold over the week-end... but my paper grew 13%... I will just wait until the next change. Thanks for updating the charts, but they're not pretty.

It might make more sense if you put major system version changes on the spreadsheet... just a thought

Yeah I did at first. I think I stopped because the changes were so frequent. Now, the changes should be rare(r); so I'll notice when a change is made. Like today, for example. I found something that should be improved.

I'm rebuilding the database now. But, I didn't discover the issue until minutes ago. I'm debating whether to go to cash at open (or just be ready to go to cash at anytime after the open, or just trust the original forecast) while the database grows to at least a minimally functional size. It should be ready to forecast by closing today.
 
Should have jumped in DUST this morning... had a buy order at 13.20 but it jumped as I was putting it in and decided not to chase... now I wish I had :(

You may or may not be right...we're only an hour in...it's still early. I'll tell you if you were right at the close. :)

You were right if your goal is to day trade.

System is outputting same results: sell tomorrow. But with the changes I made, not only should it be more accurate, it'll be faster. Next, I'll update the TSP models...glad I got the charts/graphs out of the way before I discovered the need to update. :)
