For those still wondering about when the graphs and charts are posted: :smile:

They are posted after the system changes positions. Until it actually changes positions, there are no new trades with which to update the graphs and charts.

The positions don't change until the trade is actually made; and not when the trade is merely forecasted. :smile:
 
Musings

As a testament to the confidence I have in the latest upgrade, I am also upgrading the status of the system from 'Alpha' to 'Beta.' :smile:

Also, for good measure, I will be posting an additional graph with the others showing the buys and sells on a GDX stock chart--like I did last year with TNA/TZA for those that saw.

Technicals:

The algorithm has inputs. Derivatives of both Price and Volume, and Time.

A.I. can involve both Machine Learning and Expert Systems. A chess A.I., for example, can use machine learning to calculate several moves ahead by assigning values to different situations, positions, and captures based upon preset rules or initial values assigned by...an expert in chess. These assignments are the Expert System.

I've done the same. In my 'expert' opinion, I assumed, for one example, that recent price history is more relevant the older history. I assumed that the closing price is more relevant than volume. Etc. Etc.

I even configured a Neural Network to 'determine' the importance of these input variables. As the relationships are non-linear, the Excel Correlation function, for one example, would not suffice. I've been using the results of the NN until now; (but I still made assumptions and didn't throw everything into the NN.)

Well, I was able to finally build an algorithm to determine the best 'weights' for the inputs into the trading algorithm. That's right. Really complex systems use multiple A.I.'s; some feeding others; some doing the same thing while another takes the majority vote. Etc.

I am shocked by the results. Inputs I figured were 'obviously' not valuable--turns out that the algorithm ranks them highly...and vice versa. (It also has some that 'spooky action at a distance' thing I spoke about last year re: TNA/TZA.)

Anyway,

The new model was all, "why the hell were you in NUGT just now?!" :smile:

Years ago, as Treasury special agents, we would be detailed to USSS for occasional protection fill-ins. On a return flight from a Boston gig, the gate joker asked me how many beans are in a box of Boston Baked Beans. I replied that I dunno. He said, "239 - one more and they'd be TWO-FARTY!!!" Get it? Too farty!!! Just hilarious!

now it doesn't bother me when i can't see behind the curtain because i didn't buy the curtains, but i find it petty that sometimes the little man pulling the levers gets to see the whole show for free and then offers up critique of the donated performance while his dance remains immune.

it just seems rather arrogant and shallow to me. if life is so good on the varsity team, why drive by the trailer park and throw rocks?

i can relate to this because i have a 'system' i am developing and i value feedback. i think it is pretty clear i am thinking out loud and sharing not only the insights but the results for others to see. sometimes i hit it hard and break a good score off the market, sometimes i get my ass kicked liked on monday, but i always show my cards. and i don't care what other folks might say. but it does bug me that some people like to kick on honest if misguided effort when they are winning, and then hide their losses and misperformance under the money mask.

i find it the height of arrogance in fact. very distasteful.
