Happens every year Tom, obviously central and east centered this year.
All of the big retailers employ lots of part-time workers but alot of them work more than part-time hours. As an offset every year (after the holidays) retailers have been known to cut full time hours one or two days a pay period and drop their part timers to 24 hours a week for a month or two. They will crank back up mid March.
Although the stock is not on top of its all time high, it is still riding pretty good. If it was a concern for the big investors I would think it would drop like a rock.
