tsptalk's Market Talk

Futures down big even while Hang Seng positive. For the last several weeks (ever since I started noticing), they've been correlating nicely.

Pre-Market Data

Despite small losses, some nice action in the Russell 2000 so far this morning. It's early though, and pre-holiday week action can be strange.

For those who track these things, the Dow Transports finally just turned positive.

The dollar's bouncing back today, after testing the 50-day EMA yesterday.

Bonds off slightly. Yields are trying to fill a small overhead open gap.

Until today, according to poorly kept records in a shoe box at the bottom of my closet, March 27 and April 1 were the only two days in the past month that had buyers coming in the last 5 minutes of the trading day. The next trading were nice up days.

Until today, DJT and RUT were not moving in the same direction upward since March 27.

Let's hope history repeats. If S&P 2090 holds, you bears better Katy Bar the door.

The small caps and EFA look OK, but I think tomorrow is a big test for the S&P based on the chart pattern.

Stuck my neck out just a bit before the market bolted up on Bquat's account. Today, I will celebrate, for tomorrow, I may eat crow instead of bear carcass.
