Re: TSP Talk Mug Shots!

2, my laptop computer is toast. you will not believe this, but it really happened, i swear. i have no way to do graphic work to come up with some tsptalk silver rounds designs to try to generate more interest. a smart phone is just too dumb for that kind or work.

i left my laptop sitting open on one of those $5 walmart folding camp chairs next to the chevy pickup bench seat with saddle blanket type seat cover i use for a couch and a few weeks ago the spring rains leaked through the roof and when i woke up it was sitting in a gallon of rain water. when i picked it up water ran out the keyboard and i didn't have a 25 pound bag of rice handy to stick it in.

don't ask what i was doing up so late that i crashed on a pickup bench seat couch with a computer on a camp chair next to it. you don't want to know. besides, i ain't gonna come decorate your house so keep your design ideas to yourself. just chalk it up to looking for love in all the wrong places. true story.

3, besides the aforementioned computer fiasco, i have experienced several financial setbacks recently including my washing machine going **** up (boobs, i meant boobs up), a massive winter-long utility bill that i had to sweet talk to keep them from shutting me off, a chipped tooth less than a week after my last dentist appointment, and years of poor decision making catching up with me.

so i'm freakin broke and can't afford silver right now. but i am on a good path to recovery and making progress. but if we get closer to enough interest i bet i could hustle something up. i still have those fishnet stockings and a pair of thigh high boots i can work if it comes to that. i can still dance, it's like riding a bike, once you know how you never forget.

Re: TSP Talk Mug Shots!

the silver deal still on, but you'll need to be patient. or else round up some more friends with money,

So Burro, are you really trying to tell us that you lost two years if emails when your hard drive crashed???

Do you think anyone is going to believe that??? :D

no, but it's true. also i'd wouldn't mind interogating ms. lerner in a closed hearing. does that count?

also, i forgot to say 'i got your hard drive right here baby'. it would've been a lot funnier if i had said that instead.

OK, let's GO out there!! TSP silver rounds will be a classic! But we need everyone to climb on board, or none of us gets one. AND, silver is on the way up so we gotta act fast. Put in for any amount! It will all add up!

Reply to this thread NOW!!

thanks usc, we could use a few good motivators around here. i don't feel much like cheering at the moment.

i'm still in for a sleeve of 25 plus 5 singles for 30 oz. i don't know how i will pay for it yet, times is tight. but i'll paint up the dsl's and put on my tightest shorts and manage to come up with it somehow.

if we can get pledges for 400 oz i will start working with mint on the design.

Count me in for a sleeve ....:-)

Way to go, Bronco07!!!

So previous 335oz, plus Bronco's 25.....puts us at 360!!! We are just a couple of sleeves away from burro starting his negociations with the mint. AND then only 4 sleeves from our minimum of 500 oz!!!!

There MUST be 6 more TSP'ers out there that would be interested in putting a little investment into pure silver rounds. ESPECIALLY with the TSPtalk logo on it!! How cool would THAT be?!?

C'mon.....Get on the Silver Train!!

Re: TSP Talk Mug Shots!

Yeah, baby ! I'm glad I held on to my silver. I almost sold it a few weeks back thinking it was going down, down, down. Glad I listened to one of my little voices in my head. :D

SO, KATE! How about boosting your silver holdings with some EXCLUSIVE TSP pure silver rounds?!?

You too, Sensei!! You are doing very well this year! ;)

BUMP!

Silver down to ~$17.50/ounce. Pretty good discount from when the pricing was sorted out using $20/oz.

Funny you should mention it....I was just thinking the same thing!!

We still need about 6 more TSP'ers to pitch in and commit to buy a sleeve of 25 coins. (1 oz each)

C'mon....get on the silver train!! Silver TSP Coin/Rounds, that is!!

I've been watching the price of silver lately and was thinking of selling mine not buying anymore.

it appears we perpetually stall at about 80% of bul order commitments needed to proceed. that bothers me because i was sure i could sell 500 oz of silver, c'mon it's silver not snake oil. i'm still good for 30 oz.

on top of that, i seem to have lost my mojo. my computer went down so i don't have a way to make some cool whizbang hot graphics to help with the marketing, and i think more people consider me a rude jerk instead of an investment advisor so that is probably hurting sales too.

other than that, i'm good on the silver and can handle mint negotiations but somebody else might be a better driver for this bus.

I didn't sell any when it was in the 30's, certainly not selling in the teens. But I'm a collector, not a trader for silver. A few days ago I put a "buy" rec @ 16.62 elswhere. I'm more than just long term, silver/gold is a pass down to the next generation for me.

Just happened to see this thread. So i'm guessing $435 now for a sleeve? Just rounding @ $17 + fees? Looks like it's stabalizing a bit but could go either way.

Not to take membership fees away from the excellent people running this site and all that is contributed here, but possibly an incentive would be a free basic mebership for a certain time period? Just an idea.

Considering a sleeve.

Re: TSP Talk Mug Shots!

$4 per coin for the dies + $4 premium over spot + $20 per ounce of metal.
I can see a set up fee and paying the one time $4 for the die, but I think the biggest problem for an investor would be that $4 over spot (which at $16-$17 is nearly 25% above cost).

I'm still in of course, because of the cool factor, but I can see why others aren't jumping on it.

Is that typical... the initial $8 above spot price, or can we shop around?
