Uh, I bought shares of Novell in the 90s. And, last year I under-performed by S&P500 by double digits. And, I still own some Microsoft shares. And, I bought a front loaded mutual fund in the 90s - with a load of 5%. And, I got back into the market on 2008/10/22.

And...

don't be so hard on yourself, we like you just the way you are.

Re: TSP Talk Mug Shots!

Yesterday, I noticed heavy volumes on Options calls for March 2014 for $112 on TLT, so look like F fund will be up until March. Need to recoup some lost from I fund for get out too early. Let wait and see on bonds!

The investor that bought TLT at $.08 -$.09 now bid $.20/ask $.22 for less than a week with unrealized gain over 100% (more than $200K) and still holding for 3 weeks until expiration date.

As long as SPY stay above $184.20, it's going higher today. Bought CALL $185 expire this Friday @ $1.03

Re: TSP Talk Mug Shots!

ok, i'm going out on a limb and saying rounds not ingots.

and it also appears a scored reverse is preferable. don't worry, it's still a piece of solid silver, nobody is going to make you break it.

speak now or forever hold your piece (of silver), clever huh? miso funny.

the obverse (heads) will be the majority of the artwork, so lets work out the tail side first.

option 1): if possible, use existing mint die which repeats a generic 1/4 oz .999 fine at no extra charge.

option 2): customize the reverse with a smaller 1/4 oz symbol and augment with either

a) F C S I in the remaimaing space in each quadrant, or

b) one word of the tsptalk BUY LOW SELL HIGH motto in each quadrant.

My 25 votes go for Option 1. Generic tails. I am not so keen on the scored back, but as long as it doesn't cost extra, that's fine with me.

I'm going with the flow, and whatever keeps the extra costs down for everyone. So 2b will work for me.

How much extra are we talkin?

each die costs money to make. the more complex the design, the more it costs. they may or may not allow us to use an existing die for the reverse, but that is their design already and may not be available.

or to slightly modify an existing die at minimal expense compared to making one from scratch would be cheaper. going with basic 1/4 oz symbol and simple text will be cheaper than paying someone to paint the cistine chapel.

the same goes for the obverse, the simpler the design the cheaper. but there are inherent costs in making any die anyway and we may be nickle and diming ourselves to death. if we are buying a new car we don't have to get a mercedes, but i don't want to buy a yugo either.

Looking over 100% profit since yesterday. I've open optionS on SPY, APPL, EBAY, TSLA. I'll lock in over 100% profit on TSLA after open.

I'm same as Tom that is going with the flow and keeps the extra costs down. As the stock continue up then I may increase to 50 or more and I don't want to pay more for the design since this is my investment on silver. I haven't not looking for buyer yet as I research and my uncut sheet on Princess Diana (100 stamps) was a very rare collection one. Based on the wedding 5 stamps sheet for sales from $100 to $400, then the one I have is worth over $1,000 (RARE).

Re: TSP Talk Mug Shots!

ok, gotta up my pledge to 26. now i owe tsp-roulette an extra ounce for his donkey vid. well played.

226 then. and we're on our way.

i want to change my pledge again. i want to be in for 30 now. that's a full tube of 25 to keep pristine from the mint, 1 for mr. tsp-roullette, 1 for my kid's silver collection, and 1 to carry in pocket to rub and query the investing gods and flip heads or tails whenever i want to make an ift. that leaves 2 left over to bet or barter.

unless i take up golf and use another 1 for a ball marker on the greens, if i ever hit the green. after if i ever take up golf. then that only leaves 1 to play with.

So you still need commits for what, 200 more? I'm getting anxious already. Don't want the price of silver to start going up and leave us behind!

mostly we're just waiting on my lazy ass to put up some designs for final vote. and i haven't done that because i don' t have funds in the checking account to clear it just yet. but i will, soon. also there is at least 100 additional ounces in extra existing pledges sitting out there, and probably another 100 oz of new interest from a few people that dislike me but wouldn't mind some silver so i'm working on that part too. now would be a good time for existing participants to up their comfirmed committment or new cooperatives to join in.

we'll get there. patients, padawan.

silver will do what silver does. and when it's time we'll pull the trigger.
