Yesterday, 12/5, I made an interfund transfer at the TSP website prior to the cut-off time and the message I received back was that my transfer would be complete as of close-of-business 12/6. Why would this be? I wanted the transfer to be complete as of close-of-business on 12/5. That's why I made sure to request the transfer prior to the cut-off well ina advance.

Thanks in advance for any insight.

IFT need to be done before 12 noon eastern time.

Yea, uh, I said well in advance...it was actually about 11:50 EST; 10 minutes well in advance. I suppose one can't wait that long. Something must have went wrong, but it worked out well for me anyway. Maybe I should shoot for 11:30 EST next time just to be sure. I figured with the computer and all that 10 minutes was plenty of time.

Do like I do, print the page or do as I do make a screen copy and save it on my computer (don't forget the date and time) that way you can prove it and ask then to change it. If you don't you have no proof, they used to send you a copy in email now it's only a notice that changes were made no details.

Yeah, I wondered what the point of the email was. It doesn't give any info.
One would think it was so you were informed if anybody was messing with your account, but it only sends it if you type your email address in every time! It's stupid
