jury duty? pffft, this is poker and you guys need to get your priorities straight. jury duty is nothing like cards and lawyers suck at poker because they think nobody can lie as good as them, just because they get paid for it does not mean they are getting my chips. (well, actually they were gata, cue, kuz, and dog's chips, but they're mine now).

we have a new member which brings the club up to 11 folks, although no more than 6 have sat down together at the same time. but i think we might see some more hands at the table this sunday sunday sunday. don't be shy now.

You know Burro. I feel exactly the same way. And when I told the bailiff that exact thing, she just pointed me to this picture of Sheriff Joe Arpaio, our patron saint.

i like cookies made by a nice gal in a tank top sans bra following my grandma's secret sugar cookie recipe.

but there are not too many girls who like to do that anymore.

so i make do with chips ahoy and coor's light.

here is an update on how the tsp poker club has gone so far: we have played two regularly scheduled sunday night tournaments, the results of which count for 2016 season points. 6 folks played the first one and 7 people played the second one. if there are 6 or more players then the top 3 finishers 'make the money' or 'cash' and get a share of the pot. at these participation numbers, only the top two finishers earn season points. also the software counts 'knockouts' or the number of people you bust out, and if you win you get credited for your own knockout in the tally. so without further adieu...

kuz: 1st place overall, finished 2nd in the first game and finished 1st in the second game (cashed in both games, earned points in both games, and 4 knockouts in the second game).

gat: 3rd place overall, did not place in the first game and finished 2nd in the second game (cashed in the second game, earned points in the second game, and 3 knockouts in the second game).

cue, fog, dog, and win: tied for 4th place overall, no points or knockouts in either game, but cue did cash third place in the first game, win only played in the second game not the first, and the rest played in both games.

att, met, daz, and cle have not yet played any games.

so that is where we are at. there is a another regularly scheduled sunday night season tourney scheduled for feb 14. any tsptalker who is interested can join and play, just pm me for the details.

we have played other games, both tourneys and ring tables, the ring games are always open and you can sit down whenever you like but other club members need to be online if you expect anyone else to sit with you so you can use this thread as notification the you are on and want to play a ring game. also if enough people are on at the same time and want to play an impromptu tourney for 'fun' not season points then i will schedule it on demand.

i am going to schedule another 'fun' tourney for tomorrow thursday night at 8pm eastern time as some folks played last week in the same time slot as a warmup and to get to know your fellow club members before this sunday's 'keeps' season point tourney. hope to see you there.

also, i am on tonight but broke again and can only sit at the 5/10 table for a free 1k chips again. it happens sometimes. well, actually, a lot.

well, i am not sure i guess...

my tsptalk web window says i posted it at 7:36 pm, so maybe i got it wrong? i guess that would be 8:36 et. man i got to get me a watch or something. one of them watches with an extra dial or whatever. right now it is 8:34 my time so i bet i got that whole thing wrong. sorry, i was at a junior high basketball game when the original tourney started then. i wish dinciti's bourbon i won for the superbowl would show up soon. i could sure use a drink.

also i apparently have a problem counting to 2400, so that might have something to do with it too. and also explain why i put my chips all in against the odds.
