It was more for my benefit to remind me to play with the correct attitude. i.e. don't worry about winning or losing, ups and down, only be concerned about playing correctly.
 
well, that did not work out so well for me either.

it was like the lottery, except for i didn't win and got played like some dirty cheap ticket.

i hate it when that happens.

ok, i have not got a lot of suggestions for days and times so i am going to post a poll to try to gather some more responses and get them all in one place. the only way i know to post polls is at the start of a new thread so look for it and please respond. actually it will be 3 polls i think because the number of poll questions is limited also i believe.

but for now, i am going to reschedule a tournament for this sunday at 8pm eastern time. i am going to make this a recurring tournament every sunday and the results will count for tsp poker club standings.

i plan to at some point have two regularly scheduled games per week, one on weekdays and one on weekends that i hope will work for most folks and we can play and have a good time.

also there are two open ring game tables in the club that any member can sit down at any time to play or practice or chat, but be careful because they are short-handed, usually with only a few players, and if you go adolf and tilt off it could cost you most of your 40,000 play money stack. (that video is funny as hell, i love the hitler youtubes).
 
as a reminder: there is a TSP Poker Club weekly season tournament scheduled for tomorrow night (jan 31) at 8:00 pm eastern time, the first game that counts for the season standings.

if you have any interest at all in maybe playing poker with your TSP friends, now is the time to join. it is free, for only play money and pride, and perfectly legal as nobody is wagering or winning anything of real world value (except for the pride part, but that is priceless).

private message me here to get access codes and instructions, all forum members are welcome. did i mention, like most of my stuff, it is free?
 
another reminder: the weekly tournament for tomorrow night is scheduled and open for pre-registration. i already registered as soon as i won enough chips again after going broke again so that i made sure i won't miss it. it costs 1050 free play money chips, you start on the site with 1000 free chips so you will have to play a couple games and win at least one hand somewhere. i like to set the bar pretty high. good luck.

Yes. Play Money transfers between players are limited to 1,000 chips. You may send one transfer every 24 hours, and receive ten transfers every 24 hours. In addition to this, if you receive a Play Money chip transfer from another player, you will only be able to send a transfer out again after 12 hours have passed.

I think I'll have to take a pass for a bit, need to study up some on poker strategies so I actually have a chance to win a hand or 2 elsewhere and have the 1050 to even think of playing with you all. Otherwise, the way I read pokerstars site, I'll have to buy some play chips with real money to get rolling. I don't like that idea much, not that serious about playing. better uses for my real play money.

I'll start playing tsp tables once I got enough hardwon chips to sit at a tsp table. My strategy edumacation starts with a free book available at pokersites.com. Meanwhile, you big dogs have at it. :smile:

wrong answer. for several reasons...

1, you get 1000 free chips to start and can reload another 3 free 1000 chips per hour.

2, any member here with an extra 50 chips will front you with a free transfer to assist you in making your buyin

3, it is a free game and many if not most members are still learning to play

4, some of us know how to play already but still lose all the freakin time

5, it is just a game

it should be noted that the best teacher is pain. once you have read your free books and youtubes and think you are ready and know everything, then your invite to come get schooled for real is still valid.
 
why not download, register, and sit down at the free 5/10 table in the tsp poker club room for your free 1000 chips right now?

trust me on this, you cannot do any worse than i've done. the other night i dumped off 40000 free chips to a couple of jerkwads named kuz and cue. cougar lost her shorts too. no big deal. best teacher is pain.
