TSP Poker Club

huh?

there are regularly scheduled tourneys every sunday and monday nights now. i bought into both of them before i went busto so i will be there.

Huh? That's what I said when you said I'd moved up in the standings by playing a "tight game", earlier this week. no matter, am sure I'll go busto Sunday night when a crowd of players show up to kick my butt.

He said you came in 3rd place for that game...as opposed to moving up in standings to 3rd place. As for the teasing, he doesn't like to be teased. He doesn't like it when people explain things either which is why he got chippy with me.

Take your time and wait for the big boys to kill each other off first. You'll do fine. :beerchug:

Which still leaves me going "huh"? I placed 5th in the one and only game I played so far where there were more than 2 players and more than one round was played. eh, I know he doesn't like being teased, forgot though, hadn't been in a teasing state of mind for awhile much, too much going on in the family past several months with nothing to smile about. not much better now, but poker's trying to bring out the lighter side in me, a good distraction trying to learn something new and a little bit fun.

Ah. When you register for a tourney and you sit out, the system auto folds every hand for you. You came in third because while you were methodically folding, the boys were busy killing each other off with their big bids. That is the strategy that burro was referring to...If you lay low and wait it out.
Sorry to hear about the difficulties with family. That's never easy.

Appreciate the explanation. I had no idea. not an intentional strategy on my part. I got caught up in something that afternoon, didn't get home til after the tourney was over.

I knew that wasn't your intended strategy.

i know when we started playing that i insisted you all call me 'paco', well lord paco (rhymes with taco), but now i have changed my mind and i don't want to be lord paco anymore. i had a dream the other night, it was very real, and without getting into the details and all about the other side beyond, it reminded me of my childhood. i had this cool best friend named christopher and i always wished i could be cool like chris and why didn't my parents name me christopher?

so now i want to be referred to by 'chipstopher'. chip meister, chiparoni, chiparino, the chipster, stackin chips. but you can just call me chip, or chippy for short. thanks.

How about Chip-Otle

ha! good one! i like it!

chip-otle, like the mexican grill. it has a nice ring to it. the problem with mexican grills is they are almost always catholic and have way too many brothers to try anything so you usually go home hungry but wanting more salsa.

nine lives, cats eyes, you got to catch me if you want me to hang

well, it ain't much, got a bad beat or would be six figures again, but i'm out of the red and back in the black. started at the 1k's, bumped to 2k then 5k, now owning the 10k's, ahhh back home. and i do it quick, like a ninja, ram and jam. make no mistake, poker may be a gentleman's sport, but it is bloodsport nonetheless.

Thank God we're not playing live video poker. :cheesy:

Is that a real strategery? distract your opponents with extraneous visuals so they don't watch the cards so close? sounds like it could work, until unless everyone gets so accustomed to the sight that they say ho-hum, that all you got?
