Hello,

All the columns are pretty self explanatory except for the column that says Interfund Transfers. Sometimes the amount is in parentheses and other times it is not. I'm assuming when it's in parentheses it's a loss however that doesn't always coincide with what’s in the Gain or Loss column. Sometimes the amount in parentheses is the total amount and other times it's a small amount depending on what fund it's in. Can someone dumb this down for me?

Excellent question,

When you see parenthesis this is treated as a (-) minus ion the calculation.

So under interfund transfer, it represents that money was in there at some time and then moved.

Working left to right, you will see:
Beginning Balance - Start of the reporting period, or how much you had in the fund when the report started.
Contributions/additions - monies added to that fund during that time.
Withdrawal/Deductions - monies subtracted from that fund during that time.
Interfund Transfers - This will show the monies moved in and out of the fund during the report time, example shows an IFT performed for less than the original amount.
Gain or loss - The difference from beginning balance and monies up until then

So in this example, the fund shows that it had a beginning balance, an interfund transfer was made, since the amount moved emptied the account (Ending Balance), it shows the difference as a loss.
