No doubt there are many in our group adversely affected by the amount of water rolling down, over and through the the farms, cities, industries around the Mississippi and the rivers flowing into it. And our prayers go out for them, for everyone, for the levees still standing to hold, for the river to quit rising... tho it appears the peak is still to come for those below Memphis. The National Guard and LA prison trustees seem to working hard to do the sand-bags, reinforcing and raising the level of the levees.
The choice for the authorities between acres & acres of grocery-farmland and the cities must be a difficult thing for them to find sitting on their shoulders.
My specific is - does anyone have any knowledge about the Tallulah, LA, area...it is about 20 miles east Vicksburg,MS on US Interstate 20. I can find lots of videos, etc, on Vicksburg, but I am unable to identify (the area is totally alien to me) anything that might be east of The River; to know if this same thing is flowing up west on #20. :worried:
The Morganza Spillway is waaaay south, I do see that -
The Internet sites I have taken up permanent lodging at are KNOE.com and Thenewsstar.com.
