~ 2 1/2 years, FERS... contributing maximum since I became TSP-eligible in June of '03. Started / maxed out the Roth last year and am doing so again this year. I have about $5 left for survival after all this witholding. :l

CSRS - down to 7%; paying off bills as quickly as possible.

In 6 weeks I will have 40 years of service.:u

Congrats BREWNET! ! ! But don't go beyond that 40/4 you'll be wasting time for more retirement from CSRS.

Thanks; man that looks fun! I actually wanted to max out at 41 yrs 11 mos, but I don't think so anymore. I'm sure you understand that part.

I'll just put in my two cents. FERS with 20, going for 25 and then I'm outtahere. I kick in the max 15% plus 4k catch-upboth of which will escalate annually. Not bad on a GS12 salary but we do get a25% SSR which helps

What I want to know is, when there is just one guy left in federal service in CSRS, who is going to pay his entitlement?

:)CSRS for 26 years. TSP since 1980; investing as much as permitted. 10% now.

New to TSP Talk. Do you guys follow the investmentadvice here? If so, whose do you most trust?
