" you must remember that the reasons we get paid more as equity investors are the ups and downs we experience in the market. To stay true to your investing strategy, you must act the opposite of how you feel. I don't know when things are going to turn around - no one does - but we need to be opportunistic today. You can't control the actions of the market, yet you can control your attitude and the way you handle gyrations of the stock market"

I guess we know where "your" great insight comes from when it comes to buying wallflowers.

It's there pre-market losers list.

The sheep are calling. Tell them it's good.

I don't use any list from anyone - these are my special wall flowers that I will hold for an extended period of time. Enjoyed your visit.

HA! With your Cut and Paste-abilty from all the "experts" subscriptions you have, thats all you have is other people's lists and opinions. You used to be able to get away with your blatant plaguirism until you were caught. That lent credence to your "knowledge" in the past. But not so anymore. Your relevance to TSP investors is miniscule at best.
Long live Joe "Birch" Biden!

BaaaaBaaa......Baaaaaaaaa..........<Translation .......... Do we stay in Birch? Is it still good?
Get out your pom-poms.......they need some reassurance.

Did you enjoy Tom's walk through history today - or are you not old enough to remember? And if you attempt to use big words at least spell them correctly. It does make a difference to add credibility to your points: plagiarism.

Thats the response. A spell-check? I guess you will be the grammer king. Again. Wow, the flock is disappointed. Where is the cheerleading at.... Your talk thread? We can go there since I know you need the views. OK?

Sugar, don't do that to Birchtree. His minions are going to get ruffled. He relies on little comments to bolster his knowledge. It's so easy to cruise thru his thread and pick off the stolen intelligence. They are too well written to be his own. But the sheep dont know this. And dont challenge his indepedence. The flock prefers to believe he is blazing trails as a rebel investor. Birch's best advice to them is never check your TSP balance. Hmmmm....seems like I've heard that before.

Since I'm basically a buy and holder rather than a bunny hopper I deal in facts rather than emotion. Facts are facts - not opinions. Facts are available to everyone - public domain. If I told you that 94% of mortgage holders are current on their mortgages - does it matter where that information came from - perhaps from Moose calls. Watch the afternoon market rally. Here is another word you use but can't spell - minuscule, please try harder to be correct on your spelling....it shows a lot. Doesn't the Navy have remedial education courses you can take to improve your spelling?

Your investment style has nothing to do with ripping off other peoples work and posting it has your own. Your mentor Biden would be proud of your statement.

Nice to have you back or should i say both of you (sugarandspice) Birch you will never miss spelling a word.
Plagiarism is the unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one's own original work

Within academia, plagiarism by students, professors, or researchers is considered academic dishonesty or academic fraud and offenders are subject to academic censure. In journalism, plagiarism is considered a breach of journalistic ethics, and reporters caught plagiarizing typically face disciplinary measures ranging from suspension to termination. Some individuals caught plagiarizing in academic or journalistic contexts claim that they plagiarized unintentionally, by failing to include quotations or give the appropriate citation. While plagiarism in scholarship and journalism has a centuries-old history, the development of the Internet, where articles appear as electronic text, has made the physical act of copying the work of others much easier, simply by copying and pasting text from one web page to another.

Plagiarism is not copyright infringement. While both terms may apply to a particular act, they are different transgressions. Copyright infringement is a violation of the rights of a copyright holder, when material protected by copyright is used without consent. On the other hand, plagiarism is concerned with the unearned increment to the plagiarizing author's reputation that is achieved through false claims of authorship (from Wikipedia)remember Birch i hope i'm never in a fox hole with you

pogo,

When you were younger if you would have attaind the level of physical stamina to be in a fox hole with me it would have been considered an achievement. But of course you were too young.

FYI

"—Usage note Minuscule, from Latin minus meaning “less,” has frequently come to be spelled miniscule, perhaps under the influence of the prefix mini- in the sense “of a small size.” Although this newer spelling is criticized by many, it occurs with such frequency in edited writing that some consider it a variant spelling rather than a misspelling."

Dictionary.com

and, I'm pretty sure you meant ATTAINED.

Nice job Sugar! The spelling and definition police have arrived. They are going to be very busy with all the errors at this site.

And by the way BirchBiden, I know that in your world, what happened this afternoon qualifies as market rally.

Birchworld...Proper Noun...def. A place where everyone is wooly and led by a ruthless cheerleader with a knack for his own intelligence embellishment.
....from the root source Bidenworld.

Wow, Birch! You can’t attack her argument so you highlight and attack a totally irrelevant item – her miss/alternative spelling. Hmmm. Who else in this country when faced with an unwinnable argument dismisses the true subject of the debate by attacking an unrelated and harmless feature of their opponent? Hmmmm. Who??

And yes it does matter where you got the info. In school we are taught to give credit to the person who originally made the observation, even if it is only an acknowledgment in the forward. Presenting an idea as your own, when in fact it came from another source, is unethical and an expellable offense. (Now, you are going to say that we are not in school. TSK TSK. This is TSP school. Let's play nice!:D)

malyla,

Don't worry yourself - sugarandspite and I have been playing this simple game for several years now. She would in my opinion gain some knowledge if she reviewed your recent thread - but since she doesn't spell well her reading is probably also compromised. I can't criticize her auto-tracker standing because the facts are irrefutable but she got there out of fear rather than anything prescient - but hey she does deserve credit but she has no creditable strategy, if she does it's a well guarded secret. Sometimes we just need to have fun - girls want to have fun. And for now she is our undistinguished leader but be careful of the fatuity inherent in her achievement - she calls me retarded but she's a trumpet.

malyla,

Don't worry yourself -

Who's worried. I have an UNDERSTANDABLE plan. Sugar has never try to convince anyone that we should follow her plan. I will keep my tail no matter how much you try to convince me otherwise:cheesy:

And in a Bear market - Fear is good. Capital Preservation is Key right now. Even more so after I read that article that James48843 posted in the Market Talk tread (Post #20). Be afraid, very, very afraid!

He has to re-assure his followers. And by sloganeering with his in to win and right sit tight, the sheep can have a false confidunce that they are doing the right thing by him. Of course things will turn good, eventually, but TSP investors should not be swayed by his gargantuan stock trading portfolio. He really has little to contribute that is TSP related. Makes me wonder why he even bothers to be here with all the other stock related boards out there.
