Steadygain's Account Talk

All of you mean the world to me and I sincerely appreciate the responses. I only have a few minutes and this is my first opportunity to F/U on your responses. Cornellia, I am rewritting the ending of the STEADY story - so that we end going back to THE INNER CIRCLE instead of in the room. My daughter (by the Grace of God) may be going to Cambodia for a year; so I want to send her the story as soon as possible. All of you have collectively made my life and love so much richer I really wouldn't even know where to start as far expressing my heartfelt gratitude. I do believe I am a better person as a result of my experience here. KC - I wish I knew your daughter's name - to make my prayers more personal. DennisFAA, same with you - I long for you and the 2 1/2 year old to reunite. Well I really need to run. Cornellia, you and Mamikin will always hold the highest place because no one is more in touch with who I am - and somehow that knowledge of really being understood (and being loved, accepted, and admired) despite that knowledge/understanding is the most wonderful aspect of life. I honestly feel like the concert already happened - in the STEADY story - so I don't have that huge empty hole or longing in my life; but if God would ever allow me to really live out that dream then I'll come back and let everyone know. May all of you come to know a happiness that far exceeds anything the TSP could provide; and somehow may we always strive to bring out the best in each other.

Take care my friends and God Bless.

Dearest Steady,

Thank you for getting back to us. I am so happy for your daughter, and you must feel so proud of her!

I will look for the ending to the story, it must be as wonderful as the whole story was, actually like staying in nirvana which would have been the ultimate. True, in the story the concert already took place, and I am glad it did too.

I just sent you a PM thanking you for the story.

Thank you for everything you did for us, and

LET THE LOVE WE ARE SHARING SPREAD ITS WINGS
FLY ON EARTH AND FILL WITH JOY EVERYTHING THAT IS ALIVE!

Cornellia:cool:

Steadygain,

Cornelia emailed me your news. I understand your reason for no longer posting. Yes, life gets in the way, although it is hard for me to imagine this message board without you here! Maybe I'm not accepting it just yet.

Thank you for all of the knowlege, practical advice, kindness, and downright FUN you have shared with us! You have touched a lot of lives here and we won't forget you, can't forget you! We will still be here should you find your way back, somewhere along the line. That is how true friends are, they pick up where they left off, and time does not matter, because there is true understanding and acceptance. And so it shall be. God bless you and your family!

Mamikin

Wow, I hardly know what to say. I am really touched by your comments. I will try to come to the site as time allows - but please understand it will be very hard over the next 6 months. Anyway, THANK YOU once again - and take care.

The market flies south, it's cold and dreary here, and the Steadygain isn't the only one not making Steadygains. Come back when the weather is warmer, the mood lighter, and we all are making steady gains.<tweet>

Hello my wonderful family. This is the first fairly slow day I can remember. Probably due to the snow/ice storm warning for today and tonight. So will stay at hotel tonight.

WELL FOR ME - THIS IS A BUYING OPPORTUNITY; Please do not follow my example as I see the I FUND as taking the hardest hit and therefore will attack it with 100% in hopes of a slight bounce. If it bounces tomorrow - will probably get out and take the gains. I see the worst as yet to come - but time will tell. GL everyone!!

See my post in the I fund thread.

See my post in the I fund thread.

Thanks, you know I have a lot of respect for you - so changed it to 40% C/ 40% S/ 20% I Fund

The reason why I was going 100% I Fund - is mainly because the dollar is currently hovering at all time record lows; US Markets are getting increasing bad press; the European Markets are taking the biggest hit.

Put all that together - I thought the odds were I Fund would give the biggest 1 day bounce. However after reading your post and reflecting on insights unknown to me (or which I had not considered) decided you're probably right.

Thanks again 350z - I won't stay in long.

You're welcome. 1 or 2 day move for me also.

It's possible an inverse relationship is developing;

here I refer to the 8th Law of Thermal Dynamics: which is summarized as F Fund goes DOWN - the others go UP

Should this equation persist - tomorrow will be excellent:cheesy:

Well dear friends,
I won't hold my breath - because all of us know that however the day starts has little bearing on how it may end. Yet I have to admit I am very optimistic about SHORT TERM GAINS - and believe I entered at the most precise time. Before anyone interprets me as bragging - please see I'm still under 8% - so have a lot of loss to make up.

Many on the the MB think we are on our way to a longer term BULL MARKET; and here I would say ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. I feel too many fundamental aspects of our economy are much weaker than the press is projecting - or I guess it's possible they really don't know - but I expect the worse is yet to come.

Of course the bottom line is YOU NEED TO INVEST from your own level of safety and confidence. My PLAN was to get out today and take what I see as the guaranteed gain - but now I may stay in another day - as I really need to capitalize on RISING MARKETS.

40% G/60% I - COB Today

Why?? Want to move 40% to safety.

I don't know what BAD NEWS is in store but would not be surprized if the US Markets take a surprise hard hit tomorrow or especially Friday. This is much more consistent with the Volatility that has largely defined our Markets over the past 4 months. Bottom line I am going in for the KILL and getting out before I get burned.

AMBAC shares halted on the NYSE - but usually the Bas####s wait until the end of the day to share news of that magnitude - so at least for 1 DAY things look good.

"Woodstock Recreated"

Found this add in the local news paper for the "Woodstock Recreated" live musical show and "Steadygain" came to my mind. Check out their web site, www.hiddenlakewinery.com Go to the event calendar for March 8th. Been there myself for a wedding, very nice. It's located approximately 50 miles east of St. Louis. Time to fire-up that old school bus and head north, we'll pick-up "Show-me" on the way. :D

WOW!!! Thanks my friend!

I watched "Across the Universe" last night and of course "Jimi" fully came alive with that movie. An actor portraying Jimi did a really good job - made me "fall in love" ALL OVER again; and the coolest thing of all he was tight with Janis Joplin (who also played her role well). Anyway that is the closest I've come so far to going out and getting my Ax (which for me will be the Flying V - with whammy). THE PROBLEM IS if that happens everything else will disappear because once the Hendrix in me really comes to life I PROBABLY WILL NOT WANT ANYTHING ELSE. That movie could do it though; am still considering renting out a movie theater with a great stage - play the movie on the big screen and jam Hendrix style to everything.

Anyway thanks for remembering me man; Peace to you my friend, and may you find some enchanted place with real happiness.

This event has to be fairly close to where I live - but my work site won't let me check it out. You just can't imagine how much I appreciate this - Hendrix at Woodstock is by far my most wonderful memory. Well be cool  my friend - and have a great day!!

Fortunately the volatility is making predictions a bit easier.

Had I gone with "my original plan" - would have picked up 1.2% and been back in G Fund today.

I was thrilled the I Fund gave the 1.2% Gain - as that's exactly what should have been reflected; so maybe things are changing for the better.

I fully expected the US Markets to tank today - so this is certainly no shock for me - BUT BECAUSE IT IS FALLING SO FAST AND DEEP - in all liklihood we'll see a bounce before the day is over. Here is where the I Fund is wonderful - because it does not have to crumble as easily. The F Fund certainly looks inviting - but I fear it is reaching the upper limits and see it falling within the next few trading days. So will probably move 100% G Fund.

Uptrend has a lot of EXCELLENT POINTS - substantiating the future BULL MARKET

I can't help but believe a huge loss is yet to come:
1) Dollar hitting record lows
2) The worst news is yet to come - and it will sound terrible
3) Oil is likely to go way up - (the world at large is not concerned when we're uncomfortable/stressed/hitting hard times)
4) Reports of US Weakness from other countries will increase
5) The endless "bail outs" - which have plunged the dollar lower and lower are finally ending. Without the band-aid remedies the pain is going to honestly get real - causing some big sell offs.
6) Key sectors will get weaker before they get stronger

In the end there is plenty of room for another 5% Loss

Then I see Uptrend's forecast taking place and honestly believe the very best move is to put everything in HIGH RISK and let it go.

Bottomline: I see our present circumstances as the tremors before the big quake - the REAL BOTTOM is probably at least 5% further down - yet I am convinced the next major bottom will be the last.

So BRIGHTER TIMES  ARE IN STORE
WE JUST NEED TO WAIT IT OUT
