Squalebear's Account Talk

Todays -0.6135% payback of the overpayment was a significant
downward move. However, as many of the (I) Funder's already
know, its much less painful when it occurs on a Glorious Day like
today with a positive +1.92% gain under their belts. Tomarrow
holds three possible scenarios within the "flip-a-coin" area ;
#1- Lowering Debt. #2- The Debt Holds. #3- Debt Rises.
Each scenario will look different as determined by the Market
closing up or down. As seen today, paying back some debt and
having a strong move upward, isn't so bad. But to payoff some
debt when the Market moves down can be extremely painful. I'll
break it down for you;

(I) Fund Up Or Down Tomarrow:
Scenario #1 = Ouch (but better time to jump in)
Scenario #2 = Ahhh (give me every penny and hold)
Scenario #3 = Yippy (champagne, but reduce position)

I believe we are not going to see todays gains last all that long.
I see resistance being a little higher before a drop, but not that
much higher. So I'm content with my Hit&Run strategy. I doubled
up on the (C) and (S) today, in hopes for a little more follow thru.
I'm staying away from the (I) for various reason, including but not
limited to, the rising Dollar and the upcoming ECB announcement.
But I'm ready to cut and run (lock in gains) should the market
look positive to nuetral. If we see a reversal of yesterday's big
gains, it'll be hard, but it will extend my stay for yet another day.

I was trying to remember something, but can't for the life of me.

Is the first "half hour" considered dumb money,,,,,or the first "hour" ?
Is the last "half hour" considered smart money,,,,,or the last "hour" ?

Anyone, please refresh this aging memory !
Thanks in Advance !

This: As a general rule, dumb money trades in the first hour each day and smart money trades in the last hour of each day.

I just want "happy hour"!!!!

Maybe Mr. Long read your thread? I disagree about less pain when they take away a large amount on a big up day. Pain is pain is pain.

Besides I'm beginning to wonder if this is all part of their plan to shift us into the Buy and Hold mindset by screwing with the numbers?

Too many conspiracy theorys running through my head.....

Conspiracy Theories abound lately ! Don't blame me ! I'm just a clean
living, hard working, money hungry kinda guy ! Did you get to read the
Tobacco Bill (1108) and see the plans they have for the future and the
protections they put into place for the Thrift Board ? :notrust:

Yes I did, I'm trying to pretend that I live in a world where we have less government dictating our lives. Reading things like this get me all worked up so for now I'm closing my eyes and covering my ears...:suspicious:

Look for the positive my friend. The bill gives Unused Sick Leave Credit to FERS retirees.
A Roth Option is likely to developed and the freedom we aspire to have, concerning the
investment of our own money, may come to fuition.

That sounds good, I'll have to take your word for it. Since I'm military, I don't understand much about the civilian side of things. The thing I was refering to was the automatic enrollment of 3% into G for service members.

I wouldn't be opposed to automatic enrollment if they matched it with their own money, but they don't. They are basically taking your money and spending it for you.

The (S) Fund just drove into poitive territory and is leading the way.
Hold on baby,,,,,,Hold on ! It's leading the (C) Fund by .10%. Come on
Bulls make this reality ! :worried:

See this thread about proposed changes to your military retirement. They ARE proposing an automatic agency contribution of up to 5% of your basic pay...not matching...a straight contribution...like our FERS 1% automatic. I'm civilian, not military, so I haven't looked up the report but it was available on govexec.com through a link in an article.

LOL! Surely that's sarcasm....no surprises that crude inventories are up with USA demand DOWN...and remember China has also reduced their demand. Waiting for OPEC to cut production to maintain price....<$120 is going to hurt.

nsurf9,

I think you would benefit from a visit by the infamous "Cooler" - I'll be glad to call him for you. He was a great help to Ebb last year.
