Stocks were mixed yesterday with the Dow dropping 27-points, but most broader indices posting small gains. It was a very quiet day and as they say, never short (bet against) a dull market.
I'm out of town this week spending time with my home town friends and family - first time in six years. I want to do more visiting than market analysis this week so I'm hoping for a quiet week for stocks so I can keep the commentary brief.

The SPY (S&P 500 / C-fund) has been in a slow uptrend and tough to bet against. It is near overhead resistance so it could pause here. Slow action.

Bonds were flat as well. Not much happening so we'll have to wait until the markets, both stocks and bonds, give us some technical clues.

I haven't done this in a long time, but with the quiet action in the morning and me being on vacation, I am going to take cut things short. If we don't see something happen in the next day or so, it will be a quiet week and while I'm hoping for some action, I'll take advantage of the quiet during my time off.
